So I just got my two 901 attys in today and I've been vaping on it like crazy since I got it. I've seen people who drip about three drops in the end and start vaping right away. The question I have is...

Is it normal for the three drips to hit the top of the silver part on the inside (I have no idea what the technical term is) and begin to pool up a little on the inside? If that's normal, what happens to that extra pool of liquid? Does it get vaporized being in the surrounding area of the atty "wick"? How does this work.. Anyone have any diagrams on the inside of an atty that can show what happens to the excess liquid that kind of pools up a little? I'd hate to kill my atty from overdripping it (if that's even a possibility)...

Thanks! :)

There are threads for dripping on here just peak around! You can flood you atty at which cause it can be dryed out but wont produce vaper. So you blow it out and let it dry. Its not really to bad to get stuff inside but try dripping right on the wick because if you have a automatic battery the eliq could get in the hole of the battery and short it out so BE carefull! But for more info just check out dripping on the new members or tips and tricks! Also Ask the experts forum is great peopl!

No offense, but I'm not looking for advice from someone that just joined three days ago and is brand new to vaping like I am - especially with the sort of "canned" response that you gave. I've checked out all of the resources available and didn't get the question I needed, so I posted it here. The experts forum locks your topic after they reply to your thread - so, this place was where I preferred to post.

Drip onto the bridge (the metal wicking material). It carries the liquid to the wicking fibers near the coil. The coil heats and vaporizes the liquid. If you drip too much, you will flood the atty and hear a "gurgling" noise when you try to pull a hit from it. Flooding can lead to atty failure.
Thanks, that's kind of what I was looking for. I appreciate the response. What happens when the liquid pools, though? Does that just mean I should drip less, to say maybe one and a half to two drips instead of a full three?

If pooling occurs, I would reduce my drip. Different bottles del out different sized drops. Ms.T's lil white bottles offer a smaller droplet of juice than do the lil clear bottles that Dekang juice is in. So if the bottle you are using gives a big sized drip.....go 2. If a different bottle gives a smaller sized droplet......go with 3. It is all a matter of discression......basically it is whatever looks right. You know pooling doesn't look like it would be good for it....so make sure liquid isn't pooling up.:)

You got it. Make sure you're dripping onto the raised bridge; you shouldn't let it pool up in the bottom. Try one drip at a time and see how long you can vape on it before you have to re-drip, then two drips. It will vary a bit, depending on the PV/atty you're using, the thickness/viscosity of the juice and how you vape - long, slow pulls or short, harder puffs.

If it's a quiet gurgling you're ok, if it's noisy gurgling, you're flooded. If there's a reflective pool, you're way flooded and about to murderize your unsealed battery.

Check your battery contacts frequently for signs of moisture your first week or so of vaping - you want little to zero moisture evident. A lot of people lose a battery the first month due to operator error. You'll get the hang of it.
