Hi Folks,

I'm a newbie with two weeks under my belt. I just got myself a 35mm DC tank kit in the post this morning and have been really pleased with it so far.

Although it's working really well so far and providing a really smooth vape, I wanted to ask if the slightly dry looking filler in the carto and the rather satisfying crackle it makes now and again are normal?

I prefilled the carto to the gills with a syringe before firing her up so I'm hoping this sounds like it's functioning normally.

Thanks in advance for any sage words of advice.

Actually the filler looking dry at the top of the carto is quite normal when in a tank. There is nothing going on up there anyway.
As long as it's wicking well enough to keep the coils wet, it's doing what it is suppose to.
The level of the fluid in the tank will determine the level of fluid in the carto. They will always equalize if at rest. When you draw on it you create negative pressure inside the carto, fluid flows from the higher pressure to the lower pressure. After the hit the fluid level in the carto will be higher than in the tank creating higher pressure in the carto, so the fluid will leach back into the tank.
