Hey everyone, just thought id say hi seems im restricted to it :)

just got an Xhale 02 from a friend whos still into analogs, said it didnt work well enough, figured what do i have to lose.

love em. getting an joye Ego online asap.

hopefully it wont have any of the problems im having with the xhale.. short battery life, not really diging the automatic battery. the atty seems to get easily cloged. but it does produce plenty good hits when i clean it out.

cant wait to get some consistency and completely kick analogs.

Welcome!

Xhale will do to get you started. Glad you're getting the Ego! I noticed there is a great store in S. Cali that might be worth a visit for you. Sometimes the voice of experience is what you need to get started.

To that end ask around on here for advice as needed. Search your questions on here too there are MANY answers to each question.

Welcome aboard, life is better here.

i was under the impression the kit i was getting had a manual switch

" 2 x manual eGo 650mAh batteries
2 x Joye 510 atomizer
2 x Atomizer Cone
5 x tobacco cartridges
1 x high speed USB charger
1 x usb mains charger

I am also new to vaping, and just got an eGo-T this weekend. The button he is talking about is manual, but if you press the button 5 times quickly, within 2 seconds, it shuts the battery off. This is good if you put it in your pocket so it doesn't accidently turn on. You will love the eGo!!

Make sure you are buying a real Joye Ego if you want a real Ego. if anyplace just calls it Ego then it is a clone and some are not good. The best clone is the Riva 510 at Liberty-Flights (new model, higher voltage, well made clone).

Check Ego prices at Liberty-Flights.com after pressing the 20% off

Yes you can add a Ego tank atty and tanks to the standard Ego though more prefer cartomizer (Boge are most popular)

Buy liquid (at least 30ml and buy more soon) and buy a drip tip to fit whatever size normal atty you choose

thats a really good point... didnt think about pressing the button in my pocket, but it happens with my phone... why not this.

after a bit of research, it seems like my xhale atty is defective/not working properly(maybe just cheap), the first hit is great, second fine, and then it gets plugged up and " feels like sucking a rock through a straw" as i saw on another thread here about the xhale..

cant wait to get the Ego. im wondering how long the 5 carts will last. compared to this thing.

and i am buying off liberty Flights, cuz i found this place a bout a week ago, and ive been trolling proper.

thanks though!

ordering the first deal on http://www.liberty-flights.com/product.asp?id=40

The ego batteries are manual, which means they have a button you press when you want it to heat up and vape.

Those buttons also have something so that if you press them 5 times in 2 seconds, they turn the battery off. Once it's off, pressing the button normally doesn't do anything. That means if you have it in your pocket, or throw it in a bag or purse, the button won't accidentally get pressed and just keep the carto or atomizer burning away as fast as it can, which will ruin it.

Do the same "5 presses in 2 seconds" thing to turn the battery back on.

And yes, you can buy the tanks and atomizers later and turn yours into a ego T type system. Some people don't like them, and say they leak. I use a Type A ego tank as my regular every day system, and it works great for me. The only time I have a leak is if I let the tank get almost empty. I've heard some people say that buying silicone end caps will help with leak problems, but I haven't tried them yet. Those are cheap. ($1.50 for 5, I think, at cignot.com).

No matter what you do, cartomizers, or ego tanks, or drip tips and atomizers, there is a learning curve. I recommend trying several different ways of vaping, see what you like the best. Many, many people love dripping, but for me, it's a pain to constantly have to mess with it. Some like cartomizers, but for me, I have trouble getting them to fill right, and they seem to run empty in no time. But the tank is very simple, open it up, fill it up, put it back together, and I'm good to go for several hours before I need to refill it.

If you have problems, ask here on ECF. Everyone is always helpful, and you'll get a response very fast.

Carts are not great. You can reuse them a lot, restuff them and reuse them more. But most get tired of cart + atty real quick. They can be cranky, may dump their juice, attys need to be kept clean. With a drip tip you can also juice drip on the atty. Most people prefer cartomizers for their favorite juices and Boge are most popular. I recommend the standard resistance ones to learn on (more forgiving, won't singe as easily as you learn to keep them damp) and then after those you might want the hotter 2.0 ones (also use battery charge faster)

Juice thicknesses (PG is thin and lets through flavor, nicotine Th, nicotine irritation best and makes thin looking vapor. VG is thick, dulls everything PG lets throughb ut adds thicker looking vapor)

normal atty - any PG/VG as long as it flows at least as fast as you vape it

stuffing cartos - most work well longer with 20% or less VG (I can get 1 week or more use out of a Boge)

reservoir cartos and tanks - like the thickness of 20-30% VG, 100% PG works but may leak more easily

The hardware vendor may only have 100% PG and 100% VG juices but real juice vendors usually have at least one PG/VG ratio and many offer all PG/VG ratios

Cleaning is controversial.

Some swear by cleaning. I personally clean my old attys to be ready for new flavors, if I get a never-vape flavor I haven't wasted a carto or new atty. I used to boil them but I just use warm water 50/50 with white vinegar over night and then do another hour or so in PGA (pure grain alcohol, like everclear) blow them out, fire them up and add some pg or vg so that they don't sit dry. I don't like ISO because well, it's not food grade. Search Atty cleaning, you'll get more than enough info, and some good videos.

Many see that as an added hassle and just accept that something that costs between $4-$8 is disposable. Save hassle just get a new one.

I also like cartomizers because I can fill it, refill it and pitch it when the flavor goes south (2-3 days for me) and they cost a little under $2 each. Fresh clean every time.
