Hey everyone. Just got my 1st e-cig this past Sat. and just found the forum today while looking for some reviews. I went with the Green Smoker starter kit without doing much research beforehand (rookie mistake). I like vaping a lot thus far, but the Green Smoke unit leaves a lot to be desired, so I've come to these forums to determine what model I'll be replacing mine with.

Mostly the battery life and inconsistency. I found that after the equivalent of 5-6 real cigs (on a fully charged battery with a new cartridge), that it became increasingly hard to get normal sized hits out of it to the point where it felt like sucking a milk shake through a straw. Also, I was not that heavy a smoker (1/2-3/4 packs a day at most) and I have not been able to make it through a full day of moderate smoking with either of the batteries yet.
After researching and reading the forums, I think that I've got it narrowed down to knowing that I want a 2-piece unit that has a pcc so I can charge on the go. I'm currently looking at the Vapor King manual unit, but I'm definitely open to opinions and suggestions. Thanks.

Hi itsterry and welcome to ECF! You may want to watch mistressnomads videos at the top of the page. There is alot of good information there.

Thanks, I've been working my way through all the videos for the past hour or so. They're very helpful. There's a dizzying amount of information to take in when you new to this stuff and she definitely makes it easier to take in.

Somewhere in time.
Litecig has the kr808 (same basic kit) cheaper-I THINK it comes with a pcc, if not you can add one and possibly/probably come out cheaper.

You're very right. The same basic set-up I was looking at is close to half the price of the V4L. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there any real difference in the particular brands of battery units (like the kr808), or are they all just the same with different labels on them.

OK
I use an EGO mostly, better battery life, etc, etc... but if you want something small, it is a trade off between form and performance. Just the way it is......

I have a 4081 (Safe Cig) also. i still puff on it sometimes as i like the taste it provides. I just ordered a SmokeStik battery also as i want to compare the difference and one of my Safe Cig batteries went poof already - after a month. That is another issue with the small ecigs - it is a lot of strain for a small battery...

As far as KR808 a lot of people like them. i don't care for mine. You will find that all models have a different flavor/taste. This has to do with the type of cartomizer - not the battery type.

I likely will get a 4081 adapter for my EGO. Then I will have battery life when i want - or small when i want - and still use the same cartomizers. Many prefer the atty/cart combo. That is another thing to consider - the one you have is 2 piece - Battery + cartomizer. Most are 3 piece - battery +atomizer + cartridge. However, a 3 piece model can use a cartomizer instead, essentially making them a 2 piece model, if you prefer that setup.

Bottom line: If you are ok with bigger, then EGO or RIVA (EGO knockoff - cheaper). If you have to get something else small - makes the choice quite a bit more difficult. GreenSmoke is an E9, not a great model. But all minis are going to have battery life issues - just the way it is.

Either way, if you order anything, make sure you get the discount codes for ECF members!

I think there are some slight differences. One thing to consider is manual vs. auto battery. Many newbs do not even think or know about this. Manual battery = button to activate, auto = activates when you inhale. Most vapers choose manual because the auto ha to have a hole in it to sense when you are inhaling and you might get liquid in it, but the bigger reason is more control. The autos also have short cutoff times, like 4 seconds...and some are a bit difficult to get the puffs going properly...

Welcome. My 2c, no need to try every new product. the 501 is pretty safe and if you want more smoke stick 2 in your mouth (sounds ridiculous but is better than nothing) :)

LOL. My point in wanting 2 models is i want one that works great ( I have my EGO) and i want a smaller one also to go with it. I am still searching for the small one i like... KR808... tried it, not a fan. Safe Cig 4081 - like the taste, not powerful enough to use as a main PV for a heavy smoker, in my view...( Safe Cig, like GreenSmoke = mass marketed = too expensive - newb at the time).

Unfortunately, trying to find a mini I like is likely not possible - as it basically doesn't exist, as of yet.

In other words, return the Green Smoke kit for a refund and get a Joye eGo kit (either 650mah, 750mah, 900mah, or 1000mah -- the higher the mah, the longer the battery will last before needing to be recharged) -- or a Riva or Tornado kit (which are generic eGos).

The battery life will be your first concern (at some point in your vaping experience, if not already). After a few days of charging batteries all day long, you won't care what the PV (personal vaporizer) looks like.

The eGo battery is the most popular and has the longest life of any of the standard e-cigs available currently.

Check out the following sites for prices and availability. Look for a starter kit that's priced around $30 to $60. Ask here if you have more questions. Read more threads in the Newbie Section here. A lot of people have given advice to a lot of newbies with the same questions.
