I been doing a LOT of reading on the forum and have a pretty good understanding of the concepts and language of most of the basic and moderate stuff.

I got the Njoy Pro they started selling at 7-11 in my area recently and have mixed feelings about it. I think it is a good intro to vaping for those on the fence or that just want to try it. I think there's a lot of things that could be better about it; so I'm looking to upgrade.

I'm considering the Tornado T for several reasons and would like to hear any thoughts and comments.

1. Better batter life. I think I can get this from almost ANY serious PV though.

2. Higher capacity. I'm pretty sure the nicotine in the Njoy cartomizers goes long before the flavor and I'm still learning when a cart is done; usually my my craving for a nic fix isn't satisfied.

3. Less hassle filling/refilling. This is the main reason I'm looking at the Tornado T over the cart models with the Fluval/foam. I haven't done much looking into the homemade mods, like the brass screen one, but I have a long drive time and would like to be able to get there without having to mess with anything.

4. It's in stock (last I checked) and I haven't found a US dealer with the eGo T. Maybe they're out there, or will be by the time I'm ready to order.

5. TW has 20% of thru Jan (NY2001) and I'm kind of a cheap ........ I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be saving any money with the Njoy, but hey, it's 7-11; whaddaya want?

Also I'e been looking at e-juice and have an idea of what I'd start with, but I'd welcome your comments. There's 30 ml bottles, 18mg and 36 mg(or even a 54 mg for 50% more), for the same price. I'm thinking - get the 36 mg, a big bottle of PG for cheap and wind up with twice the juice for less money. ( I think 18mg for vaping is my target to start and take it from there. I'm a pack a day smoker.)

Also, if I'm cutting it down, should I get a menthol flavored or flavorless and add menthol to it? I will be trying other flavors, but that may wait til my second order.

I'm planning on getting a third atomizer with my initial order, 30ml of e-juice or more, maybe a pass-thru. I'm hoping/expecting that I won't need extra batteries beyond the 2 or 3 I'd start with until at least my next order a month(?) down the road. Is there anything I'm missing? If I do this, i don't want to be left out in the cold because I've run out of something.

Also, my GF has tried my Njoy and now she REALLY wants an e-cig. Specifically, she wants to go to the mall and get the Smoking Everywhere. I've seen a lot of not so positive feedback on this and I've tried telling her, go online and you can get something better for less money, but she wants what she wants when she wants it and , is she can't have it yesterday, she'll settle for NOW. I'm thinking I'll just have to let her make her own mistake and maybe she'll learn from it, but I'd rather not see her waste the money.

Welcome KeithB! Sounds like you have a good plan..I was also a pack a day smoker and settled in at 18mg juice, but just received my order from vapor bomb today with a few bottles of 24mg ( for first thing in the morning or when I crave an analog)...I'm sure others will chime in with suggestions.Good luck and enjoy!

With the 20% discount, it's a good price. I was trying to compare it to getting a cheaper eGo/Riva kit then adding in the Tank attys and carts, but the price is only a few dollars off (unless you count the attys you will get with eGo/Riva). The only thing you need to be concerned about is whether you will like the tank set up. If not, you will need to pick up some extra attys in the long run to use your Tornado.

As for juice, I'd caution against buying anything in large quantities until you now exactly what you will like. There's nothing worse than staring at jugs of juices that you don't like. Try some smaller sample sizes until you find your favorites, then stock up.

Oh yeah, welcome and congratulations! I've been hearing a lot about the new tank set ups. Thinking of trying one soon.

Good luck and happy vaping:)

I agree about getting the smaller juice sizes. If you know there is one you like from the same vendor then it makes sense to get that one in a larger size. It will take a while to figure out what juices you like because when you stop smoking your taste buds will change.

I would also suggest starting with at least 24mg nicotine or even higher for those times you feel the need for a cigarette. It will be easier to quit if you aren't feeling anxiety from nicotine withdrawal and nicotine isn't the only addictive substance in analogs. It will be easier to lower your nico levels later.

ok, so I've been tweaking my order, right now I'm looking at 5x10ml of 36mg, 1 tobacco flavor, 1 menthol, 3 flavorless, 5 flavor concentrates and 10x5ml drip bottles (empty) and a bottle of PEG 400 for diluting (may switch to PG, don't remember why I originally picked the PEG). I figure with the 36mg, I can adjust downward to whatever my taste may be. I figure I'll start with the pre-filled tanks and see what I think of them.

@Patrick, yes there's a ton of useful information out there. I'm still wading through it all, but I feel I've got a pretty good handle on things.

As far as liking the tank, we'll see. I figure, at least I'll have the batteries and charger so if I want to try something else, I can just get some new attys and carts. The idea of not having to fiddle with stuff is very appealing to me so I'm keen on trying the tank.

I would check out that peg. I think there are good health reasons why just about everyone uses pg. I don't remember anymore as to why.

I've been looking around and I think that there's just not a whole lot known about the PEG-400. It is NOT the PEG-3000 that is used in laxatives. Some seem concerned that it's found in Antifreeze, but it's there to make it LESS toxic; the Etylene Glycol and Dietylene glycol are quite toxic and very tasty to pets I hear.

I'll probably go for the PG instead and pick up some VG at the craft store in the baking section.
