today was not a good day. i lit one and took a drag, but reminding myself what the aftertaste is like was maybe a good thing. i put it out immediately.

i find i want one most after eating. seems like i am also getting more anxious and nervous but i've come too far to go back.

My worst is first waking up...before I can clearly think...I always have a back up ready with a strong tobacco flavored cart somewhere close by...if you have a flavored one on, takes too much time to switch and the anxiety grows...

have that strong one ready...take nice slow vapes, put yourself in your "Happy" place and two minutes later you should be right as rain...it is a process, it will take time, and you will have cravings. But you can do it! Easier than you thought it could be! Hang in there! :)

i like exhaling through my nose but i find that it dries things out very rapidly lol

also seems around 24mg is about right, i don't have to vape too much for maintenance and it's got enough bite to put the craving away after a powervape on the passthru

loving the redcow as well right now, i found i got tired of the menthol fairly fast. ironically enough the same thing happened to me with menthol analogs.

So I have this problem....I cancelled my order for the blucigs and ordered an ultamatum kit,...but the problem im finding is I WANT IT NOW!!!!I cant even wait im so excited..Ive never vaped before but for the last 4 days have watched and read so much IM getting ansy..I have looked at my account over 40 times knowing very well that its sunday and they wont send it today but I also keep telling myself miracles do happen! I have read close to 100 posts and find them both informative funny and very interesting..So i decided to post something myself.. I have also started taking part in e-mailing the govanator as well as gathering as much knowledge on the subject as i can.. Ive cotacted my family(most of wich are smokers) and have told them about this life saving device.. I have learned the ins and outs of proper use and maintenance of My particular model as well as many others.. I am currently learning what i can so i can do my part to educate the public because i KNOW this will change my life and many others..So thank you everyone on this forum for your help and efforts to help both new comers as well as the political approachs for the long term success for yourself and others>>>>>I LOVE THIS VAPOR NATION<<<<<<

Coughinail, it does take awhile to get past those cravings for a cigarette. I've been vaping for over a month now, and I still have that urge first thing in the morning. So I do some very, very heavy vaping on some 24mg. Sometimes, though, even that doesn't seem enough, so I just ordered one box only of some 36mg, just in case I am ever tempted to pull that last pack of cigs out of the drawer.

I know that I will never go back to smoking. I have a confession -- about 2 weeks ago I was at a friend's house and actually took a small drag off her cigarette. It tasted and smelled so bad, I almost puked. Now, mind you, she smokes the same brand that I used to smoke. So the lesson I learned is that I might THINK I want a cigarette, but I really don't, thank God.

Simage, welcome to the forum, and a big congrats for taking that first step to get off cigarettes. If your experience is similar to most of ours, you will make the transition from smoking to vaping quite easily.

simage hang in there, if you want to quit and it looks like you do, this is the ticket!

thanks for the words moonstruck. i think part of my problem right now is having them around at all, the wife is still smoking a few from the last carton i bought but swears up and down she won't buy anymore when they're gone.

so i dunno, we'll see. she knows i'm going to be ...... if she doesn't quit, that was the deal. the house sure smells a lot better at any rate.

it's hard being around it right now for sure, was over at a friend's house who smokes (outside at least) earlier today and the smoke started kinda smelling good.

I am just starting my first day on the VK and this struck me as very useful and well worded advice. I had to re-order a lower nic dose so will have to mix analogs in for a few days till I find my happy place.

One question though. I live in Seattle, so the phrase "right as rain" makes perfect sense to me......but does rain really feel right in Arizona? :)

the wife's down to the last half a pack, i cornered her up this morning and made her swear not to buy any more again.

i shoulda ordered some more batts for her but i wanted to try the new ones, oh well. one batt and the pcc should get her through a day at work np.

seems like i tend towards the batt over the passthru for some reason, it's like i get just as much vapor and the cart doesn't get as hot? dunno.

I still smoke 3-5 cigs a day, and I don't feel guilty about it. Putting pressure on myself to quit always backfires. Pressure means stress, and stress means I want to smoke more. I'll get there when I get there. :) Since I used to smoke 2 packs a day, 3-5 is a definitely improvement.

Of course, I'm not smoking that additive-filled, fire-safe garbage from mainstream tobacco companies. What I smoke is pure tobacco and it's pretty inexpensive.

An observation from my first 24 hours with a VK:
36mg with a standard battery: Yep, just about right.
36mg with a passthrough: Gadzooks! Time to go to 30!
24mg with an 801: Where's my chewing tobacco?
AZ are you saying I will need lower nic with my vk when it arrives? I've been vaping an 801 since day one and 24 is my strength. Should I have ordered my vk with a lower nic? It will be here Monday with all 24 cartos. Uh oh!
