New to E-Cigs ^.~

Hello,

So I just got my first e-cig a few days ago. I had a quick question. I see alot of sites selling just the bottles of e-liquid...Do you have to buy a permanent cartridge piece to use this or are yall just filling up the disposables? I'm really liking this e-cig concept and I think I can quit smoking analogs once I get some good flavors. The liquid that came in my pre filled carts is like . I'm so happy I found this forum. All this talking about different e-cigs and flavors makes me think I can really get into this when before I was doubting being able to stick with it just because the flavor my starter set came with wasn't the best.

Welcome to the forum, Sierra! What type of ecig do you have?

Flavors abound... lots to choose from... tons to try out. Some of the starter kits come with juice that isn't the best, but you can easily purchase other flavors to load those carts with. Since I don't use carts, I'll leave it to the cart-users to fill you in on the specifics though.

You may want to check out the ejuice review section to see what sounds appealing to you. Keep in mind that your taste will change over time as well, so even if you don't like something now you may later.

I can only tell you about my own device, but look around for "tips" on various websites selling e-liquids. These are empty flat tip and round tip cartridges that fit into the end of your 501 types. You fill and then refill them as you vape. Usually, 5 in a pack ... not expensive.

Can almost always refill regular carts/cartos, some easier than others. Only economical way is to refill because you never get all your juice back out of one of them anyway. Biggest problem with ecig is the up front cost of finding that right flavor or equipment, most because shipping costs are only balanced by larger orders.

I couldnt pick a flavor to sample, but couldnt resist the DrPepper a site I buy equipment from was selling so threw it in. I have no firm opinion of it right now, mainly because it's so much thinner than my regular VG liquid that I end up with a mess and never get a chance to just sit back and enjoy it.

Might post what brand/vendor your use and someone may be able to make a suggestion or two.

I don't really know what I bought I just saw e-cigs in the mall one day and then searched it on ebay and bought one off of ebay. Can't post links or images yet but as soon as I can I'll post a image of it and hopefully get more info on what I can do with it.
I've read a few reviews on liquids so I already have a pretty good idea what I'm going to try in my sampler pack. I'm pretty excited to try flavors other then tobacco and see what I like. I really love the taste of coffee but if I drank it all the time I'd be so hyped up. I have a feeling "Smoking" a coffee flavor is gonna make my day.

Starter Kit ECS-703 from electroniccigsource course i got it off ebay so it wasn't directly off the web page but it's the same kit I got. It didn't say anything about what the actual e-cig "type" was. They do have pictures of it tho.

I'm assuming since you're using carts that you bought a 3-piece ecig? You'll need to know basically what type of PV you have when it comes time to buy new atomizers for it. Atomizers can last a week or several months, you never know. If you'll post the vendor's website quite possibly someone can help identify it for you.

Hummm... looks similar to Blu type ecig. Foil covered carts will make it hard to refill. There's a Blu cig subforum that may be of help. Kind of expensive, but the only thing that really counts is that it works for you.

^.^ Yea I got that kit + 10 extra cart for 40 bucks with S&H. So I got a good deal....I think... I didn't pay the web site price.

Once you've decided vaping is for you, you might want to research a less proprietary brand to save some money. But like TWolf said if you love your new friend, nothing wrong with doing the research to make it work instead of trying to find another brand.

I personally want to know every little detail about my new toy/lifesaver, but there is always information overload too. Someone around here should know what brand they actually are, but I cant tell from their site. Once you find out you'll have a better idea of what you've got and what your next step might be.


Yikes 36 bucks for 10 pack cartridges. Ouch refilling is the way to go

Yea as of right now I can't afford another starter pack for a few weeks. I'm going to look at some refilling techniques and get some extra liquids. I'm gonna use the starter kit I have right now until the parts start to fail and prolly switch to the 510. Hopefully this starter kit will last me awhile. I've been looking at other posts such as maintenance and what not so I can extend the life of what I got at the moment. Thanks for all the info so far guys. It's been helpful

If you go with the 510 I have to encourage the mega 280 mAh battery. (I like manual sealed, but you may prefer automatic) Best you're gonna get from an analog form factor, but a little harder to find as most carry the smaller battery, but that may change.

If you cant afford another starter kit, you might look into a passthrough. Nothing sucks more than 2 weeks without an analog and one of your batteries rolls over on you and the other just cant keep up. I got this one ECC 5V PT cause I wanted something indestructable for backup in case of battery failure. The PT also makes your batteries last longer than they would if you were only using them. (Battery life is based on charge cycles)
