New to e-cigs

Hello,

Im new to the forums, as well as to e-cigs so play nice :p

I dont smoke cigarettes, but I would like to get a quality e-cig. Ive tried to read up quite a bit here on the forums but theres so many technical terms and abbreviation that Im super lost.

What I need is:

1) not excessively large; should be comfortable to hold and use even on the go
2) good battery life; for example, Ive heard terrible things about Blu's battery life (actually just terrible things about Blu in general lol)
3) nicotine free option; as previously mentioned I dont smoke cigarettes so no nicotine is important to me
4) flavor options; Ill be smoking for flavor so this is key!

Im sure many e-cigs fit these requirements so just tell me your favorite! It should also be noted that I dont really want a "starter" e-cig...I really just want to buy 1 quality e-cig.

Thanks!

Hi dj, welcome to the forum. If you don't mind me asking, why are you interested in an e-cigarette if you don't smoke?

I guess just for the flavour not unheard of for people to start vaping only to have there no smoking partners for example to join in never made much sense to me mind but hey each to his own

With absolutely no disrespect, my reasons are my own.

And to clarify...perhaps I DO want a "starter" e-cig, because I really dont want to spend over $100. But I want something that could pass for a long term option.

You can buy cheapish mods ( big torch like tubes ) which have all the bells and whistles of the 100 plus models depends what you want do you want a ciggarette lookalike or do you want something bigger you've said you want different flavours so preferably something with a 510 connection will keep your options open

I want something close to a cigarette in terms of size, as I want it to be comfortable and portable. I do want different flavors but Ill probably go with 1 flavor at a time so quick changes in flavor is not necessary.

I see this setup being recommended alot. Looks like itd be perfect but

How big is it
&
What kind of liquid do I need?

I would honestly recommend avoiding starting to use e-cigs if you aren't already a smoker. Yeah, we like it and get passionate about it, but the core of it is all about harm reduction. Yes, e-cigs are way less harmful than traditional cigarettes, but the most healthy thing you can do for yourself is to avoid it all completely and not be inhaling chemicals that are foreign to your body.

That part is up to you as long as it is 0mg of nic your good to go don't buy liquid from USA so al leave it up to someone who does to recommend you a decent supplier in your area and diameter is about a cm maybe a little more or less

Thanks for all your help. That would be close to a regular cigarette then?

I appreciate your interest in my well-being but my decisions are my own.

The eGo-C Twist / Vision Spinner is a lot bigger than a cigarette. With the clearomizer attached, the whole thing is like 7.5" long x a little thicker than 0.5" in diameter. By comparison, a King size cig is only a little longer than 3.25" x about a little thicker than 1/3 of an inch in diameter.

If you want something close to a cigarette in size and look, you should look at popular brands like V2, GreenSmoke, Vapor4Life or other KR808D e-cigarette. There is also the Joyetech eRoll which also fit the bill but it uses tank cartridges instead of cartomizers.

I wholeheartedly agree with Snake. Some people do this thinking of it as appetite suppression but that doesn't work. Others think of vaping to keep themselves from craving sweets thinking that the candy-like juice flavors will replace the real thing. That doesn't work either. Still others want to try vaping to "fit-in" with whomever is in their circle of friends. All that gets you is a bunch of questions and a little derision.

A persons' lungs are probably the most eco-aware organs in your body and not having polluted them with cigarette smoke why pollute them with PG,VG and flavoring? I smoked for 53 years; I have vaped for over 2 years. Vaping is way better than smoking but the jury is still out officially on vaping. Only time will bear witness to vaping.

I disagree with these statements. E-cig use with no-nicotine e-liquids is gaining more acceptance for appetite suppression and diet control. Adult people can choose to use a no-nicotine e-cig for a social setting if they want to. I appreciate your cautions, but chastizing non-smokers for choosing to use a no-nicotine e-cig is kind of like warning someone to not eat fast food or eat red meat.

I have made the decision to begin smoking electronic cigarettes with all the knowledge known to me combined with my current situation. I provided this community with an infinitely smaller amount of knowledge (simply what was required to obtain the new knowledge I was seeking) and provided you with no information of my current situation.

While I appreciate your concern for my well-being please do not speculate on my circumstance or degree of knowledge in order to assert your position on electronic cigarettes. I realize this is no philosophy forum but geez

/rant & again thank you to the overwhelming help this site has been as a whole!

On a separate note can anyone confirm/deny that the Halo G6 XL (102mm) battery only comes in manual?

Depends on how often you plan to use it. Small form factor goes to cig-a-like kits like the BLU and the Joyetech 510-t line. The Joye batteries seem to be more reliable from what I have read plus the cartridges available for them are intended for you to use your own e-liquid so your flavors and nicotine content are only limited by what is available from the many many manufacturers out there. The BLU uses pre-filled carts and I don't know if they offer any without nicotine.

For cheap and a relatively small kit to produce tons of vapor all day. 1100mAh to 1300mAh Vision Spinners or eGo-C Twists and a tank system will fit the bill, however these are about 6 to 7 inches in length or longer depending on the tank.

Good luck.
