Hey jeff and welcome.

Sounds like you are thinking about starting out well! You have already had the standard suggestions of ego for first purchases. That is what I started with and it worked well. Within 4 weeks I had a Vamo V2 which is similar to the Provari. This is the point where the Provari owners show up with torches, pitch forks, and a noose. The Provari seems to be a great device but I don't have one. It is a higher end battery mod that is variable voltage (vv). It doesn't yet do variable wattage (vw), yet.

Vamo similar to a provari??? That's just wrong. Whoever could come up with such a statement? Somebody get a rope! JK

I have a provari and now thinking of getting a Vamo V2 (not a V3) just for the VW aspect. I started with an Ego-c, then a twist, provari, and K100 (because its a mech and it was available at the right price). There are a bunch of clearomizer a out there and EVOD is well regarded although mine started leaking at the mouthpiece. I currently use a Kanger T2 or a protank. Both work well for me.

However, I feel like an eGo would not be a waste of money either way. They are a good backup and very concealable. I still take mine to work, despite having moved up in the vaping world. They look like cigs and you won't get many puzzled questions from other people. I'm not one of the people that is huge into variable voltage, so the whole Spinner/Twist thing doesn't really tickle my fancy. I set my stuff and forget about it, unless the juice tastes bad. That is the only time I reset my voltage.

Egos are just great. I have some that have been going for more than two years. Just shove it in your pocket and forget about it 'til you need it. Perfect for gardening imho..

I was in the same boat....32 with a 1 ppd habit for 17 years. I started with an ego and some evod tanks....per advice gotten here. I couldn't be happier with my setup! Smoke free since the day I bought it, sure not looking back now!

If asked by a newbie my current response would be a variable voltage ego (ego twist or vision spinner. I bought spinners and I like them - they are my backups now) and some EVODs.
I'd suggest 2 ego batteries so you can use one and charge one. my 1300 spinner would last me 2/3 days and I was able to use it for 2 days and then charge at night just fine, but 2 is def better IMHO.

I'd pickup a few clearos (EVODs) so you can try a few flavors, but don't go overboard right off on clearos....so you can pickup a vivi nova, a protank, carto tank, whatever and see what juice delivery works best.

EVODs are my person fav however.

All good advice here. I have several egos...they are a must have for many reasons. I keep them stashed all over for many reasons, in my cars, office, bedroom. I just don't ever want to have forgotten to have one on me. I never want to feel I need to buy a pack of smokes again..not ever.
I have several mods which work well and you will find you will use it the most after you get a tank you like the best. Working well for me is the MVP, Provari, Vamo SS, and SVD. My SVD is my favorite right now probably just because its my newest purchase and heavy duty, but all of these other I have work very well. My favorite tank is the Pro tank. I have ordered an X9 hoping its a good one.

All you really need are a couple egos and and a good dripper or tank in actuality. They will serve you well. The comment earlier about the twists is probably a good idea. My two cents
