New to ECF. Advice for more throat hit

Hi Guys

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Im just looking for some advice on how to get a bigger throat hit. My current set up is a Kanger Evod VV with the Evod 2 clearomizer running a 1.5ohm dual bottom coil. And im using the 24mg tobacco e liquid, I have no idea what PG or VG content it has. Im finding that if i turn my evod all the way to max (4.8V) and drag it for the full 10 seconds i get a throat hit that is okay but im looking for a bit more.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Is it the actual throat hit you are after, or more vapor? Some people making their own juice buying nicotine that has extra throat hit (From the UK too!), also you can raise the PG in your juice to give it more of a throat hit. As far as equipment, if you are looking for bigger clouds you will probably want to look into something like the iStick 30/50W, and possibly a sub-ohm tank of some sort. Also the sub-ohm tanks have much more airflow, so instead of doing a "mouth to lung" hit, you can do direct to lung, gives it a lot more kick in my opinion.

Im not really bothered about vapour production if im honest, I just need a bit more of a kick in my throat hit. How do i go about adding more PG to my liquid? do i need to buy a different type or can it be added to a existing liquid as i really do like the flavour of the one im using now.

Apologies if i get anything wrong, im still very new to vaping.

If im honest i just bought the the same as a friend had because i liked the taste. Its a homemade juice from a vape shop near where i live, rather cheap too. So i should try a more reputable brand of e liquid and a new tank, any suggestion for both?

If the home brew tastes good there's no reason to doubt the vendor ask him if he can adjust the ratio of PG/VG. If you're not getting enough throat hit from 24mg consider getting a tank with more airflow. If you run 24mg in a subtank your throat will burn for example. I find 12 in a subtank is sufficient and I was on 24 on my old tank and still craving more. I'm not saying get a sub tank but look at your device as well.

The grumpy answer is "get a decent tank, for goodness sake".

The sensible answer is "throat hit improves with more PG, more nicotine, more power, more vapour".

I vape mostly 6mg or 12mg. The throat hit is minimal at best. I get a little with 24mg juice in a CE4 or even 48mg liquid in a tobacco company disposable.

For me, the Nicotine strength is the most noticeable thing.

hey there

im a TH fan as well... some things that i have found that boosted the TH is... one, get a better battery; the Ego/EVOD VV is great for what it is, i used em for a long time. but i got a little tired of juggling two of em all the time for charging reasons, so i got an iTaste MVP. the battery lasts twice as long as an Ego, and it is much, much more consistant, like it has more 'oomph' behind it. I noticed a pretty decent increase in TH when i got it.

also, consider menthol flavors? i was *not* a menthol cigarette smoker, i dabbled in em a little bit but it was not my thing. but im always chasing the TH and when i got around to trying stuff like extreme ice and MBV's Thug Juice, i was really happy with them. Thug Juice has been my fave now for many months.

good luck i hope ya find what youre looking for =)
