I am new to the forums and also new to the world of vaping. I have been a smoker ever since I lost my job last January (thankfully I've been able to find temp work off and on since then) but have decided to put that behind me and start vaping. Again I am very new to all the terms so if I sound ignorant its because I am lol.

I live in a household full of smokers who have no intention of quitting, so any support or tips (for quitting smoking, setups, mods, juice, etc.) would be a great help! Thanks in advance :)

Welcome to the forum and congrats on making a tough decision. Don't worry about knowledge or lack there of, we all start somewhere my friend. Learning to vape instead of smoke is somewhat of a journey, at least it was for me. You might want to look at some Ego starter kits, I started there and it was a good place to start the education. Plenty of videos on youtube to help as well as a wealth of knowledge here on the forums.

Thanks txcolt! I did a bit of research before I bought anything and I got a magneto mod with a drip tank so I could try out different flavors with less hassle. And that's about the extent of my knowledge lol. I have been doing research in my spare time and, as an addictive hobbyist, I think this will not only be a great way for me to quit, but also a fun hobby with a great community.

Welcome aboard!

I'd suggest something either VV or VV/VW for a battery. You'll want to get something simple and reliable. A Spinner or Twist for VV only, an Itazte of KGO VV3 for VV/VW. Having the ability to adjust the power to the coil lets you tailor the vape to your taste.

For toppers, I prefer bottom coil units like the Kanger ProTank line, the Davide line and others. Easy to fill, clean and maintain, replaceable coils and heads.

The dripper is fine for taste testing, but less than optimal for out and about. (I.e. don't drip and drive! :) )

Simply put, it allows you to control how much power goes to the coil. More power vaporizes more juice. I find that different flavors may taste better or worse at different power levels. Being able to adjust on the fly - i.e without having to change the coil resistance - is beneficial.

Fruit and dessert flavors, imo, taste better at lower heat. Other flavors may be better at higher settings.

The VTR is a heavy beast :)
