My name is Nytelife and been vaping for about 6 weeks. Haven't had an analog in all that time.

I have become addicted to vaping though. What started as a way to quick/cut costs turned into a full throttle hobby!

My journey so far:

Live in Winston-Salem, NC. There is a big mall here. A guy set up a e-cig kiosk (sits in the middle of the mall hallway). My wife actually checked it out and told me we should try. We bought the ego-t starter kit and some juices.

This was 'ok' at best, but good enough to get me off analogs. I started reading a lot here and watching Grimmgreen and pbusardo on youtube. I then upgraded my tanks to a vivi nova 2.5 with 50/50 juice. WOW.

But being me and not being satisfied I read and read about VV's and mech mods. I decided to get a mech (as I am a tinkerer at heart) with a kick to use with my vivi nova tank. bigger WOOOWWWWWW

So after six weeks I am on a mech mod with a kick. Hoping to idle there for a while lol. Course I am eyeing the RSS-T RBA and building my own coil...yeah its never going to end.

Took a good day of "fiddling" with my kick and reading ohms charts to find my sweet spot, but now all good.

Current set up is:

Smok Galileo Mech Mod
Vivi Nova 2.5 (2.5ohms)
Smok Kick at 6.5 watts
EH IMR 18500 (kicked)

Looking forward to chatting with everyone and being part of the vaping community!!

Welcome to ECF Nytelife. Your journey has only begun if you are making it into a hobby! As I am retired with way to much time on my hands, I have been smitten with all the Youtube video's and reviews. You need to reign it in early and start looking for quality and uniqueness. Not saying clones are a no no, as there are some out there that actually are an improvement of the original. Mechanicals and VV's both have their uses, as do different types of atomizers. If you like to "tinker", I suggest you invest in an inexpensive Dripper, as nothing can compare to the flavor quality, in my opinion. I don't have the Galileo, but have a Smok Natural as well as a Magneto. Neither one is in my regular rotation. For testing juice, a small bridge less atomizer like the HH 357 is ideal. Try a few drops then wash and shake/blow out, ready for another flavor. If you would like some suggestions, just ask. Be sure to list your particular interest and price tolerance.

Again, welcome aboard!

Most people go with the IGO-L to start. It is relay inexpensive, large enough for access to building coils and can be found on most sites. I also have a Cyclone but there is a clone called the "Scar". If you decide to get into dual coils then try the IGO-W. If you are going to build your own coils and use the Galileo, you will need a multimeter to make sure you have the desired resistance. I have a box that you can mount the atomizer on to check resistance. I got it at storm's Vapor Cellar. He may still have some ($20.00). For other types of atomizers, there are any number of Genesis (try the RRST) any some bottom coil units (I have the Fogger2 about $40.00). Be sure and pick up some Kanthal wire (28, 30, 32 and 36 ga.). For Genesis you will need some ss mesh 400x400 and also some wick, 1, 1-1/2, and 2 mm. If you have some sterile cotton, you can play with that, que tips work in a pinch.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
