Hello, as the title states I am new to ECF, so searching for this particular problem is really hard and ive been searching and can't find anything on this issue!!

Anyways, to my problem.

I currently have a VamoV2 and ever since a couple of days ago it seems to keep burning my cartomizers.. So far I have threw on a total of 2 standard rez xxl cartomizers and 1 low rez... I believe the brand is VapeRevolution,

2 of cartos were brand new.... You can't say I am priming them incorrectly for I have been using cartos for roughly 6 months now with no problems.....

My belief is that the center post on my Vamo could be loose???? I am not entirely sure, but I have heard on ECF and other google searches, that if the connection between mod and cartomizer isn't touching perfectly, it can lead to not enough power going to the cartomizer resulting in dry hits and ultimately a burnt cartomizer....

I kind of think this is what happened to me for before I threw on the first out of 3 cartos ON i cleaned the center post with a cotton swab just because I felt that there was too much juice in there...

Thanks

What voltage are you firing at and do you a link to those cartos?

Dry hits only happen when the filler is dry. How are you filling your cartos and how much juice are you putting in?
You should be using the wattage setting rather than the voltage setting on the Vamo.

trust me i know what wattage to fire at AS WELL AS how soaked my cartos need to be!!
standard rez i usually go between 11.5-13.0 watts, mind u I am using only 1 18350 battery... and I prime the cartos well enough. I prime my cartos by dripping at the top then blowing through the top to saturate the filler from the top all the way down...

Like I said I have been using cartos for 6 months and about 3 months with THIS VAMO..

Problem has only began roughly 3 days ago!!! Which leads me to believe either my Juice is to thick? (Which can't be possible for it is a Juice that I have vaped numerous times, have 4 bottles used to be exact, Uncle'Junk's Genius Juice)
OR

That something is wrong with my vamo, particularly the metal disk that contacts the bottom portion of the Cartomizer..

I appreciate the help, but none of those factors seem to be the reason why..

IcyIce...Is that you DJ IcyIce??? If that's you...why are you messing with a Vamo? You're part of the 1%...

If not, here we go...

Like What Vapoor asked, what voltage are you firing the cartomizers at? General rule is plus 2 on the resistance to find a safe voltage. Try breaking in the cartomizers (vape them at low voltage for the first 10 minutes and then go to your desired voltage). If watts, then start off at 7 then move your way up...10-11 watts sounds a bit too much...

Hahahha sadly I am not Dj icyice... but nonetheless, I answer that question in my previous reply!!

I use the wattage setting and firing my Standard 2.8ohm carto at between 11.5-13 watts.... the power is not the issue trust me! Ive been using standard cartomizers for a long time now and it seems to be another variable, AT FIRST i thought it was simply 2 bad cartomizers maybe something on the internal was messed up from the factory, BUT after trying another brand new perfectly primed carto and still a burnt taste after an hour of vaping I am no convinced it has nothing to do with the cartomizer and maybe just my VAMO center disk/pin that connects to the cartomizer

If you're vaping at an average 12 watts on a standard 2.8ohm cartomizer - you're at about 6 volts. Most of us, like me, I never start firing a new cartomizer at that high of volts/watts. I break them in starting at a lower voltage. That process has never given me any burnt cartomizers.

Makes some sort of sense??

However, I have started at 12 watts PLENTY of times before! same juice same everything.. AND the fact that I am using a single 18350 in my vamo leads me to be skeptical of that reason as to why Ive burnt 2 fresh cartomizers....

I have a hard time believing that the power is the issue here, I truly believe its either the vamo not sending the right amount of power via, center post connection, or I've been given 3 dud cartomizers.. which I highly doubt as well.

OK, if you are getting a burnt taste, I think the vamo is firing correctly - but that's really just a guess.

Are these your regular carto brand - can you post a link to them?
Do you have another delivery device you can attach to your vamo (I'm assuming not, but thought I'd ask)

The reason why I was asking if they are dual coil is because if not - 13 watts seems way high for a 2.8ohm coil - as someone else said, that puts you at 6 volts+ which will burn most juices. Have you just tried turning it down to 6-8 watts?

I'm not trying to patronize you with these questions, just trying to figure out the issue to we can hopefully help you solve it.

No please keep up with the questions! I need help finding an answer!!!

Yes my cartos are dual coil, the brand is vaperevolution to be exact.. they are XXL cartos. And in all honestly I really dont believe its the cartomizers, Ive used these cartomizers, like I said previously, for about 6 months now and I know how a NonBurnt carto should taste.....

That said, as someone else stated, I have lowered my wattage to 9-10 watts AND tried 4.8-5.0 volts, with no luck... I still get that burnt taste and even worst, a burnt feeling throat hit...

Idk man, I feel like its the juice not feeeding properly into the cartomizer, but it doesn't make so much sense to me becasue I have used this juices NUMEROUS times before with no cartomizer feeding issues.... Which leads me to believe, maybe I got a bad batch of jucie?? IDK

And to answer your other question, I have no other delivery device to use except one more standard carto... which I might prime tonight to see forsure if it's the juice...

This all really sucks for, I do not consider myself a "beginner vaper" not that theres anything wrong with that. I've troubleshooted as much as I possible can.

Flow Cartomizer XL Standard Resistance Punched Box - Cartomizers - Accessories

here is the link to the cartomizers IVE BEEEN USING for roughly 6 months..

Hi - that is a link to tank cartomizers - so you are using a tank?
I'd say the problem here is your cartos. Sometimes there will be a bad batch of cartos - it happens.
Your Vamo is firing as it should. Your haven't said you are getting any dead hits, i.e. no hit from no connection. You are running high with one 18350 - 13 watts?
