So on advice from a friend I bought an EGO about 3 weeks ago. I've been dripping as the cartridges that came with it are useless (almost no TH and crap flavor). I bought about 10 different flavors from freedomsmokeusa.com and they've been great. I ordered some more flavors from thepinkspot.com today, as well as from digitalciggz.com. I haven't picked up an analog since, and I'm not looking back! The EGO is great, I'm still on my first atmoizer and I've been vaping like a foggy chimney ever since. I also ordered a LR atomizer today as they were recommended by a friend. Does anyone know if the rumors about LR atomizers and EGO batteries are true? I don't want to kill my batteries since I only have two. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to my next purchase, a high voltage device. Any input?

For the high voltage unit I suggest the Go Go. There is a thread here E Go vs Go Go where everyone is talking about the difference. I love my Go Go and have a brand new E Go in the box for sale! not even interested it trying it out. I have some old 4081's to drip new flavors and if they make the cut I load a cart and am good for a least one day...
Welcome you will learn a lot here!

Welcome to ECF. Nice to hear you're loving your Ego and vaping. Yes, it is true that LR attys "can" kill the switch on your Ego. The key is that it "can" but doesn't mean it always does. Depending on who reads your post you will likely hear from those that have used LR for months without a problem on their Ego's and from others that have killed more than one of their Ego batts. As long as one understands they are taking a chance of killing their Ego batt and are ok with that go right ahead and use the LR. IF killing your batt would be upsetting to you then its not a good idea to use the LR on an Ego but better to wait to use it on a true 3.7 VT battery mod. If your batt starts acting odd using the LR atty do NOT switch the LR to your other batt. Thats where so many have have a problem with killing two batts within a very short time of each other. If you kill one at least you'll still have the other one to use with a reg atty until you can get another batt. Good Luck!

LR attys demand more current/drain on a 3.7v batt so it will be needed to be charged more frequently. Not sure what you heard and I haven't owned an eGo for a long time so I'll let some else address that.

I killed several Ego-type batteries before I finally broke down and got a mod (a Black Beauty). You should make sure the battery is 650 mAh or bigger; even then, you're going to seriously shorten their lifespan.

I too love dripping so if that continues to be your choice, I recommend you look into a battery mod.

The problems with using LR atties with the eGo batteries is related to the fact that they aren't 3.7V and they use a MOSFET switch, which can be burned out by the heat generated by LR atties. There are quite a few people who haven't encountered any problems, but there are some who have lost a few eGo batts. It seems like these are usually people who vape a lot and the switch just can't take it. I wouldn't recommend using anything below 2.0ohms, but I know there are people using lower ohm Cisco's.

If you're willing to take the risk, then go for it.
