Just wanted to introduce myself

I'm Thomas, I have been vaping for a few months now and have decided to join the forums.

I am using an eGo-t type a with a LR atomizer, vaping a variety of fruity flavors from viking vapor. I fiddled with the regular carts and attys on the ego until I got so frustrated with the leaking that I got the tank system and have been less frustrated since.

I still face problems, but don't know if the atty is failing or if the LR is messing up the battery. Oh well.

I'm thinking about trying out the Icon by Puresmoker, but haven't wanted to invest the money. I also have seen alot of info on bottom feeders, but they are just as, if not more, expensive. I work for a non-profit and am raising am 18 month old, so money is always tight.

My wife and friends still smoke, but it doesn't bother me! Yay for vaping!

Welcome...I have 23 or so mods (pics on my profile), and right now Im vaping my ego. Was using a dual coil cartomizer from hoosier ecig supply. I was on vacation so dripping wasnt much of an option, now Im home, using a regular 510 atty on my ego and dripping..a good unit. Just find the combination thats right for you, including the juice.

Hi and welcome. I could never quit before before because the girlfriend smokes and could never resist that smoke in the ashtray. Since e-cigs it doesn't bother me at all. There are a lot of mods including bottom feeders. They have a modders section here and a review of a bunch of them. Check them out first. There is also a top or bottom feed mod called the GLV 3 but it is a bit more money. Good luck with your choice.

Id recommend against the dual coils (as great as they are) as the low resistance (1.5 ohm) of them is said to kill ego sized batteries. I would recommend bloog 2.0 (LR), great price and free shipping from crystalclearvaping.com (15 for $20).

Welcome to the forums, eh? What kind of problems are you having? Are you not getting much vapor? Is it something else? I ask because the Ego-T with LR atomizers vapes pretty well until you get spoiled by dual-coil LR cartomizers or 306 LR atomizers with drip tips.

Just keep asking questions and someone here can help you figure out what your problem is.

Regarding the Icon by Puresmoker. I'm not really familiar with that system, but the idea appears to be similar to an E-Power. You really should check out the E-Power from Liberty-Flights.com when finances allow. It's bigger than your Ego: about the size of a large cigar. The 18650 E-Power will give you unparalleled battery life, but the 14650 E-Power will be lighter on your pocketbook and still give you outstanding battery life. You would need a 510->Ego adapter (cheap) if you want to move your Ego atomizers to the E-Power.

I would also recommend you try SmokTech Dual Coil or Boge LR cartomizers with your Ego-T.

How many eGo type batts have you lost due to dual coil cartos?

It's becoming obvious, due to my personal and others' observations and posts, that your statement no longer holds any 'water'. I'm a very heavy vaper and have yet to lose an eGo batt (650, 900 & 1000) in over two months of heavy vaping with dual coils. And my batts are at least three months old in that I bought some used right after I started vaping.

Yes, I've read of folk that 'lost' batts due to dual coil cortos in the past, but not recently. Actually, I wonder how many of those batt/cart combos had center post issues as opposed to dual coil induced failures.

One more item... Would Mad Vapes sell THIS KIT with the eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers if the cartos would 'destroy' the batts? I think not!

I don't mean to get huffy, but I think it a shame that the best eGo combo I've tried (been through 'em all) is being maligned unjustifiably, guiding many new vapers away from a very fulfilling vape!

But what do I know? I'm just the 180# vapinig ol' fart in da room...
