Welcome to ECF!

I have a Protank on my LT right right now. I have the 2.5 coil on at 3.8v. It seems like if I crank it up too much higher than that I get dry hits. Honestly, I don't have any issues with the way it vapes. It was much smoother at first but still pushing out pretty good clouds. With your current set-up, I don't think I would go below the 2.2 ohm heads.

I didn't like the airy draw so I use a piece of dental floss to block a couple of the air holes. Someone suggested a dab of glue but I didn't want to limit my options. I'm using the 2.4ohm head or whatever the higher ohm is on a Provari mini. I wasn't loving the protank at first but after blocking the holes I'm liking it much better.

I'm using a Lavatube 1.5T right now and I'm getting very good clouds. One other suggestion I've got for you that will make a big difference in the vape is to flip the rubber gasket over in your tank. The gasket I speak of is the one located on the center post just above your wick. Pull it off and flip it over on the post so the flange is pointing up. This opens up the feed to the wick and still keeps the center post sealed from leaking. I did it with mine and the feed is awesome. No dry hits at all. I also just re-built the wicks with stainless and that added a whole new level to the awesomeness factor but that would get a little long winded for this thread.

I am currently using a Kangertech Protank with 2.4ohm coil on a eVic at 4.6v, I get clouds of vapor and no burning taste. Its not too airy for me, to me just right. As for a dry taste I DIY my own juices and I add 1ml of distilled water to 30ml of e-juice and I always get a juicy hit! You can add distilled water to store bought e-juices to compensate. Experiment a bit and you'll find whats right for you. :) ....and Welcome to ECF! :vapor:

If you do run into seal or vacuum problems by flipping the gasket, another option is to leave it right side up and just cut two little notches out of the gasket from the bottom (open) side that will both rest right over your juice feed channels in the atty head. I do this in my Evods (same internal assembly). I use cuticle clippers but regular nail clippers would probably work.
