My buddy got me into them last week, I finally found a shop that carried them in store. I picked up an eGo-C Twist. And I love it! Friday is payday and I want to pick up a superior tank, I just don't know what to get since I am now. Also the other question is where should I check out for excellent juices? I know there are PG/BG values, but don't know what they are or what I should get. I've been getting 12mg of nicotine in mine, I typically smoke 1 pack every other day or two. I smoked Camel Crushes and have only been smoking for a little over 3 years.

As for the juices, I prefer strong, destinct flavors. My friend gave me a couple from MT Baker Vapor and I really do like some of them, but a guy at work told me they weren't necessarily the best.

Congrats! haha. always nice to see/hear of a new fellow vaper. i recently joined the forum but have been vaping for almost a year now. if you do some searching on this forum and youtube youre bound to find a review of a tank that interests you. as for juices, its mostly personal preference. some you like, some you hate. haha. i'd suggest checking out gotsmok dot com. they have some good deals, and almost always have an e-liquid deal. the guy who runs it just scours the internet for vape deals.

but first, do you know what kind of tank youre currently using?

Will your local store let you try eliquid? Mine lets me try all I want.

If you have a good local store, I would go to them for everything until you get set up well. You will pay retail, but save money in the long run by with good advice and support.

That said, for totally unique complex flavors of eLiquid, Five Pawns.

Yes, they will let me try flavors. I bought a Belgian Waffles small yesterday and I am extremely disappointed in the taste. I liked it at the store, but when I sat down to vape, it just isn't cutting it.

I am looking for really solid, fantastic ejuices.

I do see Mt. Baker Vapors is having a Black Friday sale, so I plan on splurging then possibly, but I need to buy one or two to get me through the week.

I will definitely check out your site!

I have two, one they sold me with the eGo-C Twist (no name or anything on the tank) and I bought an EVOD Twist Clearomizer this past week. The eVOD is much, much better.

Picking your favorite juice(s) is likely to be a whole adventure. People's tastes are just completely different!
So poke around here and you'll see dozens of good vendors to try. My suggestion is: get "samplers" or order small bottles!! Just because someone tells you "Boba's Bounty" is the best juice on the planet," doesn't guarantee you'll like it. So TRY it, but don't order 30 ml.

For a topper, I'd suggest trying an EVOD, or a MiniProTank. They're easy to use, and easy to get replacement coils for.
They both look and work great on a Twist, too. You could get a full size ProTank, but it's fatter than the battery...

Most experienced vapors will recommend you start out with a clearomizer, also called a clearotank. These are atomizer juice attachments which use strings wicks to draw the e-liquid to the heating coil. You can view You Tube videos on their maintanance/cleaning and coil head replacement.

There are two varieties:

  • Top coil clearomizers are filled from the top. As their wicks hang down into the tank, low juice levels will require frequent tipping of the battery horizontal to keep the wicks wet. These may also allow for a warmer vape. Innokin iClear 16 & 30, and Vision Vivi Nova are top coil.

  • Bottom coil clearomizers are filled by turning them upside down and filling from the bottom. Since these are gravity fed they do not need to be tipped to keep the wicks wet, and may allow for a cooler vape. Kanger T3, Evod, & Protanks are bottom coil.

Juice is made up with a Pg and Vg base. Pg is mostly for better flavor and Vg for vapor production, but this is not a hard and fast rule. A simple 50/50 Pg/Vg ratio is good to start out with.

Finding a good juice flavor can be the most challenging part for a new vapor. Taste is subjective, and what one person likes another will not. If you have a local vendor who offers juice tasting in store, this is the best way to choose flavors. If not, purchase samplers from vendors who offer them. That way you don't waste money on a larger bottle of juice only to find out you don't like it.

Congrats and welcome to the forum,

:2c:
Kanger Pro Tank II
Kanger mini Pro Tank II
Kanger Evod BCC tanks... cost a little more, last a lot longer.

The best juice is going to be subjective, everyone here has a "preferred" vendor/flavor.
You can check out the Forum Suppliers list, can't go wrong there. See if the have a "sampler pack".

Sure there will be others along with more suggestions.......:)

You honestly can't go wrong with MBV juices, the price is just hard to beat. For a little more I shop at a local store 405 Vaperz, they also do mail order and their flavors are good. As for the delivery system, I use mostly a protank, it works fine with just a little care, I also have a no name carto tank I like to use occasionally, also easy to maintain. I'm probably a little less into the "hobby" part of this than most. Still using the ego twist from my original kit from April. It all works, haven't had an analog since the one I smoked on the way home from the store when I bought the kit.

For a tank I'm also on the Kanger bandwagon. I've used/use EVOD's, Protank 2, Protank Mini 2. I'd suggest either the PT2 or PT2 mini so you aren't limited in juice selection.

You will spend quite a bit of time getting to a juice you like. Mt. Baker is good for the cost but if you spend more you can get better quality juice. I used them for quite a while and still do from time to time. But with higher cost vendors it is a superior product. I'm currently on a Good Life Vapor and Vixen Vapor kick. It's more expensive than MBV but still much much cheaper than cigs. That's how I look at it. I'm not scraping the bottom of the barrel eco juice but it's still a massive amount cheaper than smoking.

Agreed. Those are the kind of online stores I am looking for. I've tried MBV and there is no doubt I like them, but I'd like to try other shops too. And I won't go local other than for tasting, they're just not as good quality wise and they're far more expensive.

I have found that the taste of the juices is as dependent on the atomizer as the juice. I started with an ego tank - liked it and weaned me off the analogs. Then iclear 16 type tank - like it a lot ... But NO flavor from juices. Advice from this forum try a 506 drip tip to get the most flavor and to sample juices. Wow what a difference. Now I am using a iclear30s on my ego twist and have found a happy medium.

506 drip tip?

Also when can I get needles at? My buddy uses one to remove excess juice from his tank. He said he uses 18 gauge.

I should also mention I like a lot of vapor, if that helps at all haha. Big puffs.

Mt. Baker Vapor sells a needle tip bottle cap: Blunt Needle Tip for dropper bottles - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

My Freedom Smokes has blunt needles and syringes: DIY

A higher ratio of Vg to Pg in e-liquid will provide more vapor. Many e-liquid vendors sell all-Vg flavored e-liquid.

Hello and Welcome to ECF
I wanted to try a Kanger but I couldn't find one in gold so I got a Anyvape Mini Davide Glassomizer BCC 2.0ml w/ 3 Coils because I could get it in Gold. I just got it from gotvapes.com so I don't know a lot about it.

I got my Syringe for Mom and Pops Tank Filler Kit - Mom and Pop Vapor Shop The needle is more like a tiny tube then a needle. So you don't have to worry about sticking your self. Check out their Submarine tanks too, I got some for my parents to make it easier for them to fill.
Make sure to get some E-liquid Refiller Bottles I got mine from fasttech.com, dirt cheap, they make it easy to fill and more convenient then a syringe. :)

I'll say that there are a lot of good juice vendors out there. NOT telling you what to do, but I usually order a handful of juices from a different vendor every week, and now I'm starting to go back and re-ordering the stuff I really liked.

Spend a little time in the general e-liquid discussion forum and see what catches your eye, or, if you have a particular flavor group you enjoy, maybe find which vendors carry them.

I've found my happy place with more of the dessert-chocolate-nut-creamy flavors, but I'll get something oddball here and there just to try it out.

Last, but not least, WELCOME!!!
