Like others have stated, at least you ended up here. I too bought the first starter kit I saw, and after finding this forum and a couple of reviews later, wound up ordering a much better kit and have been loving it ever since. As of right now I'm still in the mini stage mainly because I like the way they resemble my old analogs and the portability, but eventually I plan on buying something a little more beefy to vape while chilling at home.
Once again, at least you made the right decision to give up analogs and start vaping, that's a win/win regardless.
Happy vaping!!

Hi Cobra1713,

I made the same mistake too. I definitely agree with what JB said regarding doing your own research and thinking first. I wish I had found this sight before I jumped in!

About a month ago I saw an add for the Blu. Looked cool, so I got one for $60.00. The Blu seemed to only work for the first two draws then no vapor would come out. I called Blu customer service, but it was not much help. (I just this week decided to try adding drops to the Blu cartridges and that has helped with the vapor output.) So, since I wanted INSTANTLY to get a new e-cig that worked, I went to a smoke shop here in Houston and bought a 510 knock off automatic called Sinless Smoke at a shop for $110.00 that had only one battery, but came in a pretty rechargeable case. Works fine, but after discovering ECF I realize I spent way too much money.

Now, after reading all the reviews on Ego's, I want to buy one. Just trying to find out where to buy it for a good price and with a warranty that is reliable if it does not work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My point is, don't feel bad. We all are new to this and will make mistakes. Have fun and enjoy all the new possibilities the e-cig has to offer. I just wish I had found ECF before I made any purchases. The information on here is wonderful.

I too bought a $100 e-cig at a mall-what a disapontment-but it got me thinking-so I ordered an eluma kit since it had a nice rechargeable case and 2 e-cig-Disapointed again. But I was not going to quit, the idea of the e-cig over analog cigs seemed to good.Thats when I found ths forum and was able to get some good info.I now have a Riva/Ego and I love it.Vape all day.The hard part if finding the juice you like, but u can buy a lot of juice for $55,which is what a carton of cigs was costing me.So dont give up there is a PV out there and the flavor of juice you will like.Good luck

If possible, you should return the kit you bought - it is way over-priced - and do a little more research here on ECF. I would recommend an eGO kit, which you should be able to locate quite quickly for around $50 at one of the suppliers that advertise on ECF. Good luck to you on your new vaping adventure. I smoked heavily for 55+ years and quit the same day I started vaping.

+1 excellent advise. On the other hand any kit that gets you started is almost priceless for the health benefits. I think 90% of the people start with a crappy kit because they didn't know any better.
Just suck it up and learn as much as you can on here. In a few weeks or months you can make an educated choice and move up a PV you will love.

It seems we have all been duped at first, at least we have found our way and now know where to go. I first discovered ecigs via email trial, no I did not order, I am just way to paranoid about trial stuff. So I googled and found ECF and a few others and started learning. By that evening we were off to a smokeshop to find and try an Njoy. We actually had to drive about an hour. Way overpriced and, I believe, kinda old but that did not deter us.
My boyfriend has been wanting to quit for sometime and I just did not want to. I enjoyed smoking and wanted to continue despite the health concerns. Well, vaping has solved our problems. I am glad to have found about this community even though we spent more than we should have on something that was not to par. At least we have done it!
Happy Vaping!
