Hi all

I'm a chain smoker for over 10 years. Recently started E-Cig from Blu cig.
First time i try it last me almost two week without smoking a real cig, but than when times are stressful, i light up a cig and start smoking again. so here I am trying again to see what else have more kick like real cig, last longer to full day without charging or swap out battery.

I went to the mall yesterday and saw something from Volcano call Lavatube 2.0. I tried it and seem pretty good but just not really smooth, it could be many reason as nic level or ohm or votage. so anyway. I did a research to see whats the comparison to lavatube.
Final answer all lead to Provape's ProVari V2 comes out the best.
I went to a vapor shop today and try out the provari mini with STV vivi nova 3.2ohm and that was night and day different from Lavatube. so I'm going for Provari for sure.

So here are the stuff that i figured out from research what i should get

1st: ProVari V2 in black. ( I know its very expensive but for the price i pay three carton a month. i will make my money back soon)
$180
2nd: Vision STV ViVi NOVA™ 3.5ml rebuildable tank in black ( it come with three different ohm head so i can try it all)
$9
3rd: Vision ViVi NOVA Twist-On head 3 ohm or 3.2 ohm ( i want more kick than the ohm they came with the tank)
$3
4th: Battery ??? I dont know whats the best battery in the market for provari so i need you guys help :)
Whats the highest mAh in the market ? long life ? fast charge ? AW ?
AW 18490-$8 to 11
5th: Charger ??? what brand of charger should i get ? how fast do they usually charge ? Pila ?
Pila charger $45
6th: E-juice ??? they are range from 0 to 24mg......since i smoke a pack a day type of person. should i start with 24mg ??
15ml $14.99, 30ml $24.99
7th: what else am I missing to complete my kit ?? please let me know.

So thats all i know about the set up, its going to cost me an arm and leg but its for a long run and this time i'm going for it.
I dont want to get a cheap set and always thinking about getting a better one later.
I hope i can stop smoking cig and my wife will be a lot happier with me at home.
Please help me out to chose whats the best set up for Provari. Thanks!!!

Some others can probably give better opinions on the battery, but a couple things. The ohms on the twist on heads the higher they go, the more voltage/watt it will take to produce the vapor, so if you are looking for more vapor at lower voltage you want to go lower on the ohms. This is why 1.5 ohms are becoming very popular for the 3.7 volt EGO style batts, they "burn hotter"/produce more vapor than a higher ohm atty/carto would at the same voltage. Hope that makes sense, ohm is measure of resistance, less resistance = more powah hitting the head.

24 MG is where I started coming from a pack a day smoker. I always tell people to start high, so you are getting as much if not more nicotine that you were getting from the cigs. If you start getting the shakes etc... as I did from a little too much nic you can step down on level as you get used to it.

I cannot recommend any batteries that are not on the Provape site. I have seen 3000mah batteries in the 18650 size but they always have bad reviews. I received my Provari just the other day and have been running the 2000mah 18650 batteries with the extension cap. I bought the cheap charger from Provape and it is working just fine, seems to be of fairly good quality.

I have been running my 2000mah battery since Sat at 6:30pm, its 11:30am monday and I'm not even thinking about charging it yet. I vape pretty heavily. I started with 24mg juice but that was with far inferior delivery methods(cig bats, egos w/ ce4-ce5s etc), I was a marb red smoker and 24mg is just crazy harsh once you get a setup that gives you plumes of vapor. I strongly prefer 18mg now.

DONT PAY THAT MUCH FOR JUICE! You can get 30mils for $7-$8 from other vendors. I have been getting mine from ecblendflavors but am anxiously waiting on some juice from mtbakervapor which is similarly priced and heavily touted around here.

I can't really recommend the Vivis even though most people seem to like them, I just didn't find that mine performed that well. It was a leak monster, couldn't even think about filling it above half, and a total dry hit machine. I tried all 3 heads. Sure I could have messed around with it, tried different juice ratios, blah blah blah. Personally I believe that a device should just plain work when you are using your run-of-the-mil 50/50 juice and I did not observe that with my Vivi. I like using the Kanger T3 but they look AWFUL on a Provari. Picture a Bugatti with hubcaps. I have been using an Octopus rebuildable dripping atty on it and am extremely pleased. My go-to setup is my provari/octopus, but I enjoy the 650 ego/baby kanger when I need more portability(very sexy looking setup there). My thirst for vapor purchases has been quenched, for now....

I definitely recommend getting about three different levels of nic. 12, 18 and 24mg. Just because I smoked lights didn't mean I wouldn't need the higher nic. So many factors for how much you actually took in while smoking. I was always done with my 100's before those that were smoking kings. Sucked those babies down! Very little went to waste.

I started with 24 and 18mg. I'm now dwn to 12mg but keep the higher nic's around just in case I need something stronger. They now are harsh to me.

Thank you so much for the reply, as you said lower ohm burn hotter in low votage so the battery last longer correct ??
than why many people say 3ohm are the most accurate burning on votage setting range from 2.9 to 6 ??
seem 1.5 ohm will burn right about below 4 to 4.5 v on the chart i saw on youtube.
so they tast the same ??? low ohm low vatage = high ohm high votage but tast the same ?
thats where i get comfused.......please explain

You are basically on the right track. Think of it as a sliding scale, your 3ohm can handle on up to 6 volt yes, but it is going against a 3 ohm resistance so your vapor is going to basically be the same and 1.5ohm at around 3.7volts. That chart you are talking about kind of explains it all really, the vapor is going to be very similar in that "green" area either way. I am pretty new to the advanced PVs so someone with more knowledge can chime in at any time, but yes obviously using less voltage/wattage is easier on the batteries as far as I know.

Thanks for the reply, the reason i like the Vivi nova STV tank is because it looks really nice with black provari.
and when i was sampling the provari, the guy had vivi nova stv tank on it with 3.2 ohm and wow....i said wow...thats some kick right there.
thats why i was into vivi nova stv the black one. the juice i know i can get it anywhere. but that price is from local shop close to me that i can actualy sample before i buy. hehehe and i dont need to wait for shipping.

for the battery i think i will just stick with the 18490 1100 mAh for now.....seem like the most populor battery and not really have lots defect.
thanks!!

Thank you so much for the reply, thats just what i need for the answers.
i just wonder whats so great about pila charger that cost 45 to 50 dollar plus shipping.....hum......
I was looking into 18650 battery but the extended end cap is black instead of the original chrom tip. so the style kist killed it.
AW battery have good reviews....only see one that burn out in a purse.
i would try to get a 18mg and 24mg for both 15 ml to try it out......the one i sampled was really strong and more kick than marble light.
thank you again.

18650 AW IMR the ones that Provape sells are the ones you want and get an extension cap they run about a 1.5 days get at least 2, I use Provapes lower priced charger, works great! plus you can buy a cord from provape that sticks into the side of it to charge it in your car

I been using juice from provape and mt baker vapor (mt baker vapor is very good and way cheaper) if its throat hit you want get the higher pg 80/20 and 24mg nic, I am using the 50/50 now and its pretty dull on TH in alot of the flavors I got

I actually like the Vision Vivi Nova (I use the 3.5ml vision version, provape sells these as well) 1.8ohm heads (these actually ohm out at 2.1 or so) they kick like a mule and great flavor, I think this is mainly due to the smaller diameter wicks, the larger ohm heads have a big wick and they end up having dry burnt hits due to the juice not wicking well ... plus I started rebuiling the Vivi heads with bundled .6 and .8 silica wick and 32ga kanthal .. this works well

I have the Provari that you are looking into. If you can swing it financially, I also recommend getting the 18650 extension cap for longer battery time. The 18490 battery will last on average 11 hours, while the 18650 will last on average 20 hours. Battery mah ratings suggest the average time a battery will hold an effective charge in use: 100 mah = 1 hour use.

Provape recommends using only genuine AW brand, IMR, button top batteries for the Provari. RTD Vapor has the best prices and fastest shipping on these. Genuine AW Batteries at RTD Vapor

Concerning chargers, I have a Pila, and also recommend one of the better quality Xtar chargers, also available from RTD Vapor. Battery chargers at RTD Vapor

The Pila and Xtar chargers use exclusive algorhythms to charge batteries faster and safer, and allegedly may even prolong the overall lifetime of batteries, so they are worth the extra money IMHO.

If you are going to be carrying extra batteries on you, I recommend getting a plastic battery case. Carrying a battery in your pocket can cause unpleasant and unsafe things to happen should they come into contact with loose change or keys. Battery Cases

As you seem to know already, a 2.5 -3.0 ohm juice delivery device will allow for a wider range of voltages used on a variable voltage device like the Provari.

Once you are all set up and comfortable with your setup and the Vivi Nova tanks, consider looking into a cartotank, which many people who use tanks prefer.

I am getting ready to hit that purchase button on the provari site myself. I figured I would go with the starter kit and the provari in satin silver. I have read that the colors get chips in them if you drop them and if you wear rings, they will scratch the color off. So, I don't want to spend that kind of money only to have it looking crappy in a few months. So, the silver for me. The starter kit comes with the batteries and charger and I plan on getting the extension cap and two extra 18650 batteries. I want 2 "regular" size and 2 "big" size so I have options and backups. I am very seriously thinking about getting a mini as well so I have a back up device and a third size option.

I currently have a dual-coil tank and love it, but I'm not happy with my cartomizers, so I plan on getting some Boges and some 501 fusions from Ikenvape (I hear they are really good as well). I also want to try out the vivi novas, so I will get one of those, too. I get almost all of my liquid from Awesome Vapor (18 ml for $8 - ya you can get it cheaper but I know I love it so it's worth the price).

I figure I spend $160 + a MONTH on cigarettes, so really, if I can afford that I can afford to buy pretty much whatever I want as far as trying out new vaping stuff... and bonus - it won't kill me!
