Hi everyone, my name is Matthew. Quit the near pack a day habit to enjoy a much better form of nicotine intake. That is vaping of course! I was introduced to ecigs year or so ago, and started up with the eGo series first using a 900mah with EVOD. I then swapped the 900 for a 1200 voltage twist. Throughout my first experience with ecig I still had a strong urge to smoke a normal cig. I would say at start the use of ecig cut my smoking habit into a 50/50 ordeal. My initial experience was not very pleasant due to battery contact issues with the eGo batteries, and a lack of general vaping knowledge. My batteries kept breaking as well, LOL...

When I got with my current girlfriend she was smoking, and still refuses to switch to ecigs as of today. Being around her didn't make ecig use satisfying and thus I switched back to cigs. Got myself up the pack a day grossness once again through a period of several months. After that period my mindset changed to a realization of how I missed the enjoyable vapor, and how I could save my health/money considerably. I basically went cold turkey on cigs over two months ago with a switch back to eGo starter kit. Currently I smoke at most two cigs a day. Lately only one in the morning which I feel is needed to satisfy my urge for some reason.

I knew vapor amount, and quality was going to be an issue with the eGo thus a month ago purchased my APV setup. I am as of this time running a Tesla 18650 VV/VW with protank 3. Last week added kanger air flow valve v2, and now rebuild the 2ohm dual coil atomizer into a single coil cotton wick as close as possible to the 1.2 ohm limit on the Tesla APV. The standard protank 3 is now a hybrid v2 aerotank and vapes much MUCH better.

The more I vape the less I now have the urge to smoke any nasty cig. I'm enjoying the switch very much. I enjoy upgrading my setup and spending that saved money of not smoking towards supplies, and new items for my vaping collection. Right now I'm waiting on a Dreadnaught 26650 clone. Purchased IMR 3500 high drain for the setup. Very excited to have ample space for creation of a custom RDA. Working on those PT atomizers isn't too hard but space for unique work is definitely ruled out. My ejuice is purchased through a local ecig shop that makes awesome great tasting vapor. House blend is 70pg/30vg. I've found PG is not enjoyable to myself. I do not like the throat hit. Now run 100% VG.

Anyways, that about covers it I suppose. My car is a 1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo in black. LOL. Obviously my other hobby! Hope to get to know you guys, and be a long term member of this forum. Take it easy everyone. :)

Welcome to ECF Matthew! Congratulations on going whole hog into vaping. What nicotine level are you using? Most people find they have to bump up the nic level to get over that "hump" in quitting and then drop back down a bit. Whatever you decide it sounds like you're well on you way to being a nonsmoker with a bad case of shinyitis. :)

Welcome to the forum dood, you will love the craftiness of an RDA. Toyota Supra's man... My favorite car for the longest time! You have a photo album of it? I assume you track it, what times is it running?

I have a 2013 GTI, my other hobby as well lol. Sold my last project (2008 Evo) last year.

I mostly used 1.8% since the start, but my first bottle of straight VG went with 24MG. Now that it's gone, and what a great flavor it was I have to say, vaporizing a bottle of 12MG VG. Hitting my Tesla A LOT so a switch back to 24MG is probably in order. The shop only has 100% VG in 6, 12, or 24. I definitely feel smoke is 12 year long thing of my past now. After all I love technology, and vaping is the future of smoking no doubt. Can't get over the satisfaction of a good flavor. VERY ENJOYABLE!

Hi Cullin, man I just rebuilt my atty, and filled up the PT3 a little before joining the forum. My tank is half empty HAHA... The Supra is full exhaust straight pipe, intake, and MBC. I run it barely above stock PSI on secondary turbo. I've tracked it at my altitude (5000+ft) she runs what she should low 14 high 13. Get some pictures up when I earn the attachment right on this forum. :p

Good deal. Having the higher nic around for the tough times is always a good thing. It sounds like you're enjoying the whole vape/tech thing enough that completely quitting will be a bit easier for you than some here (like me who had a miserable time kicking those last few cigarettes). Again, welcome to ECF and best of luck to you. You're going to love it here.

Wellp, one more post and you're there! Sounds like a fun car man! I'm in Colorado so I know what you're talking about with the altitude, it's a whole different car at sea level.

This forum has been great, I consider myself a pretty experienced and knowledgeable vaper at this point and I still learn something every day on here. Enjoy!

I'll be looking forward to those photo's of your Supra!

Cullin, the supra was always my dream car since a young age. Proud owner as of now for sure. Just taking it slow with her enjoying stock to bpu upgrades. I'm the second owner. Purchased all original no mods. Single turbo is in the near future. The 2jz-gte motor can handle in excess of 900HP all stock internals.

Sleezy, the dreadnaught is going to be my main focus for now. Satisfied with my custom PT3 build as of now. Good flavor, and a lot of vapor. Will be trying to get good at cloud chasing on the new setup.

There was an advertisement for rtsvapes when I loaded up the forum. Looks like some good deals to DIY ejuice. Was wondering where you guys recommend that has best quality/price? My local shop sells 30ml for $12 which isn't that bad and the 30ml last me at most a week so can't complain. Been wanting to create some of my own flavors though. Cullin, check this out. I have blacked out all the emblems, exhaust, and wheels with plasti-dip. The front lip made a big difference as well. Have to love a blacked out Supra! :)

Ahh! That looks great man. The Supra motors are quite impressive. I'll have to upgrade internals at about 400hp. :/ Thanks for uploading! The black on black is lovely and is exactly what I did to my evo! We have similar tastes sir.

Are you looking for pre made nicotine juice with a certain pg/vg ratio? If so, $12.00 for 30 ml is pretty (extremely) expensive. It would be better to oder online if you can stand to wait! ecigexpress.com sells 215 ml of premade 12mg nicotine juice for $9.99... On myfreedomsmokes.com you can get 24mg nicotine fluid (mixed at a few dif pg/vg ratios per order) for $13.95.

The whole point of DIY is to save some money, not some... A lot of money! There are better deals out there. I can comment on the quality of the ecigexpress nicotine fluid, but I can for myfreedomsmokes: No complaints, works great and is all you need!

Dreadnaught is running dual coil equaling around 0.25 ohm. Cotton wicked... The vapor quality and amount is amazing. Extremely satisfied! Right now I'm dripping a 100% VG cookie flavor at 6mg nicotine. Awesome stuff! The 6mg feels same as 24mg with all the extra vapor. Think this setup is going to easily get rid of that one morning cig I felt was needed. :)

Got back from work 12 hour shift straight to a rebuild. My first rebuild actually shop did original build. Just about doubled the size of both coils on the dreadnaught. The smaller lower ohm's were burning the flavor and cotton bad. Had to pulse the fire button for a decent pull and even then still junk... Not into more vapor at the cost of flavor and comfort. New setup coils take twice as long to turn red hot unloaded which is about two-three seconds. Just took her for a test run with 70/30 pg/vg 18mg and it's much better. Surprised I lasted the 40 or so mins building new setup without taking in some vapor off another setup. Think my girl is out of cigs today and it appears she is utilizing my Tesla. Happy! :)
