Hi, well I am new here found this forum from a youtuber I subscribe to. Anyway, a little history to keep all the information in tact. I am 40 years old, I have smoked for approximately 20 years, I had a few breaks of 1 year and then 2 years off from when I started when I had in fact quit. Nevertheless I have been back on analogs a while now (currently around 1 pack a day Marlboro Smooth shorts *menthol*), and I have also been experimenting with Ecigs. I started off with a simple EGO kit, that to be honest was ok but really didn't give me what I needed to drop analogs completely. Currently I have an Inferno Kit from Volcano. I do like this kit a lot, but as I have found from reading and going to several different supplier sites there are literally TONS of different ways to make and customize an APV.

And now on to my questions;

1) I am struggling to go from analogs straight to my APV, how can I make this transition easier? (I know this won't be easy to answer)

2) I would like to switch to a Pyrex tank as I really enjoy Clove flavor, and I would like a tank that will work with my current batteries. I have looked at a Black SMOKtech 5ml Pyrex DCT tank Black SMOKtech 5ml Pyrex DCT Tank but I am unclear if this will work with my current gear, I did email the supplier. If anyone has tank suggestions for me please chime in.

3) Juice difference, I am sure this may be answered elsewhere but Cliff notes versions would be great on what the difference is between VG and PG content of juice.

I think that is about it for now, I am trying to keep the budget of parts as cost effective as I can because I am not working atm, but an APV is a LOT cheaper than analogs so I am willing to put some $$ into parts to get off analogs once and for all.

Thanks for any input!:D

Ok so as far as tanks for clove ejuice. Kanker pro glassamizer. on to Pg/Vg, Pg tends to be thinner and less vapor production but carries more flavor, Vg tends to be a lot thicker and produces a lot of vapor. Ejuice high Vg will give problems to most cleamizers as they don't wick as well. If Vg is what you want maybe because some are allergic to Pg best to start dripping. Now a good place to start for me was 65/35 Pg/Vg ratio. On to the switch from analog to digital, I started at 24 mg nicotine and found that this worked great being a pack a day smoker and gave me the throat hit I needed to feel like it was smoking. Also I found out that I vape for more then I smoked now with that being said remember that smoking analogs the tar in the smoke coats your lungs and acts like a time release for the nicotine. Where when vaping it straight in straight out and thus a little more vaping is required not that it's a bad thing. One last thing I kept a pack of smokes so that mentally I knew if I wanted one I could have one this helped a ton. Still till this day I have that pack. Hope this helps.

Interesting post, thank you. On your three issues:

1. Stronger juice the first few days, depending on your smoking habit, and often either 24 or 36 mg/ml to start. You can always drop down when you beat those first two or three days, a week, and a month milestones. This worked for me, and I was unsuccessful twice previously because of juice that was too weak, and poor battery performance, coupled with dripping (the option at the time).

2. The tank you mentioned in your post is a carto tank. Are you looking for a carto tank? If so, the entry level DCT is excellent and you'll need spare cartos, a carto punch (or prepunched cartos), and probably a syringe for filling, maybe a nice drip tip. Now your Inferno is not a product I'm familiar with, and I presuming that it has 510 threading. Find out if it does (probably), and check if it also has ego threading, because that opens up possibilities (or an adapter) for your consideration. If you are not focused on carto tanks, the Protank mentioned previously is a very good glass tank. Many love this tank. If you go with Protank, then you'll need some additional heads as replacements. Carto tanks can run from a few dollars to a couple of hundred dollars. Your selection is a good starting point.

3. PG provides a better throat hit and often better flavor, while VG provides better vapor. Lots of factors affect these issues, though. PG is thinner and wicks easier, or rather differently, than the thicker VG. Somewhere between 50% - 75% on the PG is probably the most common ratio, the remainder being VG.

The reason we often vape more is because the mechanism of delivery is very different between vaping and smoking. Smoking is a smaller nicotine particle, absorbed by the lungs and hitting the brain in about 5 seconds. Vaping has larger particles and is absorbed more in the mouth and nasal passages and affects the brain in about 30 seconds. This is good as it reduces the nicotine behavioral response significantly with vaping, i.e., it's not as addictive. Science bears this out. Additionally, nicotine absorption from vaping is not known exactly, but is generally thought of as about a 50% absorption rate, whereas smoking is higher. A portion of the approximate 100 chemical additives in tobacco (out of 599 additives) play a role in rapid and more complete nicotine uptake in cigarettes, none of which are found in vaping. Again, creating the faster response to the brain, and greater nicotine addiction.

Anyway, my two cents on your questions. Best to you and welcome to the Forum. Power Up and Vape On!

Solid answers above!
Been vaping over 2 years. The only thing that helped my frustration with starting my vaping experience after 17 years of smoking and staying off! was moving towards a Provari and Rba tanks (aga-t2, zen atty, ac9) although this can get rather technical I guess.. But i can honestly say that there are tons of cool options now that have gotten much better!
I wish you luck mate!

Ok grabbed a couple 24mg and one 18mg today, I think the 24mg is a LOT stronger than the 18mgs I have already or they are a different VG/PG variance cause I am getting a slight headache after puffing on the 24mg pure. So I used some of the 18mg I had already to mix in and lower it down a bit. I also grabbed a new tank/cartimizer which I only got for a spare flavor however the cartimizer in the new tank has TWO holes in it, and its giving me a bigger hit, which I like as well so I think I will buy a few more of those cartimizers when I need them in a month.

EDIT - the mixture on the 3 juices I picked up are 75%PG/25%VG
