hello all,

i found this forum after doing some research online, shortly after i made the decision to stop smoking. ive smoked cigarettes in the past, although not in the last year or so, and also have been a regular smoker of cigars (black and mild) daily.

out of curiosity i bought a blu disposable the other day, and after being totally unsatisfied with it, i went online and ordered this:

https://www.fasttech.com/p/1368501

im starting to read through the info this forum has as well as others online, and look forward to getting my new vape soon and learning alot more

any tips, info, advice you all have to offer would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!!

best!

Greetings John, welcome to the forum.

You should enjoy your EVOD-eGo combo way more than the Blu.

And if you decide to make your way up the e-cigarette food chain, and invest in a more sophisticated APV battery down the road, the EVOD will still work with it.

The only thing I would caution is that there are tons of knock-offs kicking around, some are better than others, and it's good to make sure you know what you're getting. Personally, I stick with brand names as a rule, trying to save a few dollars often isn't worth the grief (btw EVOD is made by Kangertech and eGo, by joyetech).

Good luck! :toast:

This is very similar to the Vape I got!! I opted for the starter with two batteries/tanks though. Mine just came in a couple days ago, and it is FANTASTIC. The first liquid I tried was horrible and made me think I'd wasted my money. But I dumped it, and tried another and its awesome. :D
I've never been a daily smoker, more of a stress/drunk smoker. Lol. I use this daily though. Its amazing

I found a site with 5 - 10mL samples for $12.95. Absolute best prices Ive found. The reviews are pretty decent so those should be here in the next few days. It was eliquidmarket.com
And yes, EVOD is the tank/atomizer assembly, and eGo is the battery.
I did a LOT of research and this is what I went with, because it has most universal thread pattern for upgrading. :D

so it is my understanding that the evod is the atomizer type whereas the ego is the battery type?

so much new vocab to learn!

Evod is the name of a clearomizer juice attachment made by Kanger. There are also eGo batteries made by a manufacturer name Evod. Yes, it gets confusing.

YouTube will become a resource of information on vaping gear for you. You can find demo's and reviews on just about all of the gear available.

To help with the terminology, here are a couple of blogs that might help you:

so what sort of pieces can i add/switch out with my setup?

Have you read Batitude's blog above, 'Moving Up The Vaping Ladder?' Baditude has a couple blogs for beginners where you'll get a great intro to vape gear.

In a nutshell, there's advanced batteries at one end of an E-Cig (regulated mods or mech mods) and different kinds of vapour production devices at the other end; clearomizers, cartomizers, rebuildable atomizers, rebuildable dripping atomizers). I'm not too far up the learning curve myself, so I don't know if I should say most stuff at one end works with most stuff at the other end, but there definitely is a lot of interchangeability.

My life is now about making slow yet steady progress through the universe of E-Cig gear, and the object of my journey is to find the perfect vape. The tricky thing is that 'perfect' for me might be 'meh' for you.
