Hi there, new member finally getting around to posting. (too busy reading the forum and trying to wrap my brain around all of this). Smoked analogs for 20 years, (Camel Filters in the beginning and then Camel Lights(Pack a day smoker)(Sure was fun collecting Camel Bucks and getting all the cool Camel stuff back in the day). About two years ago got my first exposure to e-cigs by buying one from the local 7 Eleven. Thought I could quit the analogs, but it was tough, the "high dose" from the e-cig was not nearly enough for me. quit the analogs for about 2 weeks then the "cheapie" e-cig battery died, bought another and that one broke in a few days also. Was just easier to grab another carton of analogs and be done with it. Fast Forward two years and my co-worker came in with an cE4/ego battery starter kit. Thought wow they have come a long way in the past two years. Then the thoughts of quitting came back. It is Vapor opened a store locally where my co-worker had bought his and figured could go and take a look. Both my Wife and I smoke and with the costs of analogs going up was spending over $60 a week to support our addiction. So figured just go and buy a starter sets for the both of us and see where it goes. Dropped $100 on 2 stater sets and five bottles of e-juice. If all works out will be able to save a ton of money over time. We got a few Kanger MT3's and USB Pass-through batteries. So now a month later and we are both analog free. Still have an unopened pack of camels on my desk to remind me I quit smoking, kind of like a momento. Maybe I will throw in the freezer for the zombie apocolypse or for when the world is about to end, you know do one of those "in case of emergency" glass cases. I digress, the first few days of being analog free seemed to go ok, as I know I was getting the nicotine because I bought 24mg e-juice. Was probably over dosing on it TBH, but only time I got a real craving was first thing in the morning and after meals. Still have that craving in the morning but not as bad, after meals is a little tougher, but have been doing fine just vaping. I think I have just tricked myself in thinking I am still smoking because of the tobacco flavor. After a month of being analog free, my sense of smell is getting better as is my tastebuds, water tastes different for some reason..... (idk prolly just my imagination). Funny because both of us can smell a cigarette from a mile away now. I think the thing I like the most is I don't smell like an ashtray anymore.

So current setup is 5 MT3's and a Protank. Protank is Tobacco Flavor (my main daily vape), the MT3's are variuos flavors, just to change things up. MT3's were interesting as the coils last either a few days or a few weeks. Quality control is questionable at best. Saw a video on youtube about re-coiling and re-wicking, so have been doing that, in my attempt to save money, actually has as the re-building of the coils has worked out well on the MT3's. Have only had the Protank for about a week, still on original coil so far so good. Loving the Protank so far! Since the recoiling went well, starting into the next thing, DIY ejuice. So bought the kit from DIYShop and doing research here, made my first batch of e-juice last week.

Next up looking for a VV battery solution, just been reading and watching reviews. Haven't narrowed it down yet. Still debating if I want to do the research and build one myself.

Sorry for such a wordy post, but like everything else, if you are gonna do something, then go and just in and do it.

Welcome to the forums! I'm glad you have gotten off the cigs and deeper into vaping. I'm also pretty new around here so I don't have very many suggestions for a VV, as I haven't gotten one yet, but I'm sure several people will have some advice on that. I too have experienced my sense of smell coming back and enjoying the taste of water again. It's pretty much all I drink now! Also I feel vaping, or maybe just the lack of smokes, has improved my palette. I can appreciate foods again that aren't full or grease and msg. It's a great feeling. I hope you enjoy your journey of vaping and again, WELCOME!

Thanks for the welcome, I can spend hours going through this forum it is awesome, the knowledge and depth of information is overwhelming.
Yeah totally agree on the food palette improving, been smoking and grilling food for the past few years. Had a steak two weeks ago, using same spices and prep and holy crap, it was the best steak I have eaten in years!!

Welcome!
New to vaping and already rebuilding?! You're on top of it!

In your search for a VV, if you're looking for something compact, I would suggest the iTaste VV. Both my mother and best friend just got it for its portability. If you don't care about size, I would go with the MVP. Decently priced and a lasts for DAYS on a single full charge.

Also, ending your post with a SW quote automatically makes you awesome in my eyes :D

Welcome and well done you two, As you I am a recent devotee of this nicotine replacement therapy Vaping.

I am still trying to get the smell of tobacco out of all my cloths and my home office, where's that can of air freshener.

On the subject of VV there is a myriad of devices , Like you I used an initial starter kit starter kit and it worked .
I decided to move on to VV. So what does a VV do for the situation. Really it does come down to battery life and convenience.

I have purchased a provari style Lavatube VV. On booting it up and screwing on one of my clearomizers that came with
my starter kit the difference was immense to say the least. Vapor output increased dramatically the amount of suction
I needed to apply is far less for a much better amount of vapor very satisfying indeed.

Battery life is reported to be approx 18 hours +- While this now my main gizmo it is a Saturn 5 rocket ship that is fine here at the desk and around the house, It's just a odd looking enough in size to be comfortable or convenient out and about.

So I have brought in to the mix a Vamo that can be used single Cell hand sized and also a Innokin Mpv Box Mod.
Power to go anywhere any time and not suffer any insecurity and cut the charger tether .
So for me its all about convenience and of course a device that delivers high volumes of Vapor without feeling like
I am sucking on a thin straw.

So VV is a positive move to continue your addiction therapy and all the above mentioned
VV Mods and others will work well. As for Cart/Clear/This that and the other gadget I only now that the one's I used initially worked well enough for this little black duck to rid my self of tobbaco Yay ;-)

On that score I think that 24mg is to high a dose for new users or old for that matter as that most I have read bout here
in the forum vape more frequently than they ever smoked, as appears at this time nil detrimental effect and it is a pleasurable thing to experiment with different flavors.

But due to frequency as you have found as I did OD nic is a real phenomena with new users.

12-18 mg is probably a better dosage for newer users the lower the better ultimately.
I also believe that if you do want ween yourself of Nic
that the patch therapy combined with a 0 Nic vape is a very valid path to Quitting tobbaco products..

Welcome and that is great as well.

I agree with Jonny because i also have the itaste and its convenient and rechargeable. Also, the ego twist is really nice as well. If you don't mind using a battery, I would go for the vamo or the itaste SVD. The vamo for the all around price, variation, and being able to switch from volt to watts (even though it doesnt matter). I taste SVD for the price and different features.

VV is the way to go but anyway, good luck in your future vaping.

Thanks all for the kind words and welcomes. Probably start with a twist or the ego vv with the lcd and then step up to the vamo. I vape one the go a lot so portability is more of a factor in my purchase as I don't want to have to carry a torch around to vape with, at home or work is no biggie. Thanks again all!
