Hello everyone. I am new here and have progressed in my vaping. I started with a regular ego style battery and a vivi nova tank. I then upgraded to a VV ego style battery and upgraded to the Kanger protank 3. This move was awesome. With the VV and the glassomizer I got awesome flavor out of my juice...which is never consistant in flavor or brand. I decided to take the leap and went with a Panzer mech mod and a helios rda AND THIS IS THE BOMB. I started a .7ohm coils and now run .5ohm coils. I mostly make my own juice 60% 40% pg/vg with around 20% flavoring. I recently got another setup for when I dont have the time to use the rda.... an itaste mvp v2 paired with my protank 3. This thing is awesome and is a close second to my mech. I get decent vapor...not like the mech w rda but way better than with the ego battery. Ive been at this about 9 months and have learned a lot and am looking forward to learning more here. Just thought I would stop by to introduce myself and tell you guys what i gear i use. And BTW if you havent tried Suicide Bunny yet....you MUST give it a go.

Welcome to the forums! I've learned so much from reading things here - I got brave and started dry-burning my stock coils to prolong their lives a bit. Then I got braver and got some cotton and kanthal to rebuild them. Got braver still and jumped to kayfuns (clones). Got the bravest when I started mixing my own DIY this week :)

:vapor: is guuuuuuuuud :D

Hello and Welcome dbenney & Michael! Glad to have both of you with us here at ECF. Dbenney you have some great gear, the MVP2 is one of the most popular vv/vw mods mentioned and recommended. As for the panzer and RDA/RBA good luck with your building and read up on battery safety if you haven't already. Michael what are you using? Please feel free to ask questions and share your experiences, Dbenney and Michael, as they may help other members. :) Happy Vaping!!

Hi there! I'm a vape hobbyist only. I don't even smoke but got into vaping because my co-workers are always smoking around me. So I figured I'd go into "smoking" in a different way. Started out with an eGO and Kanger Protank mini and still only vape 0mg nicotine this past January. My first mod (around May) was a buffalo mod clone paired with a tobh clone. I also have a HANA Mods DNA30 clone. Now my 2 setups are SquapeR on Stingray X, and ZenithV2 on King Mod Dusted Knurled Brass V.1 2014. Love it so far, and just like any hobby, it can get expensive. Looking forward to getting good info from everyone here.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Well, it's sad to say that I don't have my own equipment yet. Borrowed a cheap battery w/ carto from a friend and I loved it. Now, I am looking into where I want to start from. My objective (first off) is to get a nice vv/vw kit w/ a clearo and drip (for fun), and a bunch of juices for under $100. It seems that I can do it quite easily. Deciding on what to get is the hard part lol. Leaning toward the Itaste vv/vw for the battery. Looking for a strong compact digital vv/vw for a daily carry first, then get into the fun of building. But what do I know lol.

Hey Michael.

A couple good starters are the MVP or the VV3. MVP is VV/VW 2600maH box (smaller than a pack of cigarettes) VV3 is VV/VW 800maH square stick form. Both are pass-throughs (vape while charging) and the MVP can charge other devices (like your cell phone). Driving down the cost of vaping! - 101 Vape or E-Cig Distribution Wholesalers E cig | strictlyecig.com both have good prices on their MVPs and VV3s. The VV3 is an "express" kit - battery and charging cable only, but the MVP at least comes with a topper (usually an iClear 30 or an iClear 16B, I think.)

Neither of these devices will sub-ohm (in fact I don't run mine below 1.5Ω - I have both) If you're going to get into the world of sub-ohmming, you will need to read up on battery safety - all kinds of threads out here to discuss all this - and consider a different device.

Juices - Mt. Baker Vapor is pretty decent for the price. I just ordered from killer-juice.com (they have $0.99/15 mL selections each weekend) and a couple of them have been pretty good (jury's still out on two others that I'm trying)

It's all personal preference. What works for me may not be what you like, so this is all my opinion only ;)

Good luck :vapor:

Yes, those are the two I am looking at. I originally thought the MVP was going to be big, but that is only because I was on YouTube and saw a lot of people with box mods that were rather large. I guess I just assumed that the MVP was prob the same size. Kind of leaning toward the MVP because it will fit in my pocket, longer life battery, and has more options = more bang for the buck! I will throw around the tops (most likely clearo's) later. I will just buy a few dependable ones that are not too large so I can try diff juices until I can find what I like. Heck, for now, I just might buy a cheapo battery w/ clearo to get me going. I can always throw it in the glove box for emergencies when/if my better unit goes dead. I need to quit smoking ASAP! Tired of it.

hey michael may i suggest something from my experience? Dont waste your money on a CHEAP battery to get started. I went this way and it cost more in the long run. I got my MVP V2 from 101 vape for less than a VV battery and separate clearo. Mine came with an iclear30. its a decent clearo but has top coils. from my experience i get better taste from bottom coils and a glassomizer. i get a LONG time from a full charge on the MVP....like 2 12 hour shifts at work plus 4 hours of commuting there and home those 2 days. and it is smaller than you think. I never thought I liked the box mods but I love this one for when I dont have time to drip. if you want a good liquid may i suggest Suicide bunny derailed or suckerpunch...i only recently started vaping this and its the only liquid i vape besides my diy mixes.
