New to it all, is it normal

Ok so I ordered a Blu, yeah I know a lot of people have bad things to say about them but I liked the look (close to analog) and price for the starter kit and a few other things, thats not what I am here for though. I got the standard full flavor carts at 16mg. I have only been using it since Friday (11/12/10) but still have a craving for the analogs (even though they already stink to me) when I wake up and after a good meal. Is this normal? If it is how long will I be using this before those craving subside? Also I have read that the taste buds are going to have to heal before I can really taste the flavors, I have just been exhaling through my nose to get the smell and the coffee is my favorite right now. Others like menthol and vanilla I cant really taste or smell. How long will it take before I can taste them on my tongue? Thanks for all your help.

you need a better pv get an ego and up your nicotine to 24mg or 18 mg to curb those cravings. get some cartomizers because the more you fiddle with your pv the more you loose intreast in it. taste i dont know its been almost a month and the only thing is i sleep better, no more headaches as long as i eat in the morning and i can breath so much better now.

You may need a higher nicotene content. I started with 24 mg. and had no analog cravings, but did vape frequently. If I get busy and don't vape for an extended period of time, my first thought goes to an analog, but if I push that bad thought aside and vape it quickly goes away. Some will say you can become addicted to other chemicals in an analog, but I think cravings are just your body calling for more nicotene.

I was able to taste the flavors right away and preferred them over my old friend. I bought the KR808D-1 setup and the WOW cartomizers from Vapor 4 Life. My favorites are cinnamon roll, butterscotch and caramel. They say WOW vapor and WOW flavor so it may be the flavor is more intense, but haven't tried others so I can't comment on that.

Welcome to ECF! My first advice to you would be to read through all the stickies on the New Members Forum. That will answer a lot of you questions.

Most of your questions will get many different responses because everybody's experiences and preferences are a little different.

Taste, sadly, is going to be minimal on the smaller (super mini) devices from what I've read. I use an eGo and I prefer to direct drip, and I get great flavor. I thought my first kit, similar to yours, tasted ok. When I go back to it now, though, I can't taste it at all.

Take some time with it and figure out what types of things you are wanting out of your experience. That will help guide you to your upgrade device. You'll have lot of questions, so keep asking. There are too many wonderful and intelligent people here!

Don't worry too much about your cravings though. There are a thousand different ways people have quit/cut back. You will have yours happen in your own way. You've got thousands of chemicals in your system that need to work their way out, and it will take some time.

Again, welcome, and enjoy!

Welcome to ECF!! and vaping :vapor::vapor:

Yup, normal to still crave an analog, but it gets easier, hang in there and don't give up
if you smoke a couple of regulars. When I first started I could only taste the
very strong flavors, coffee, cinnamon, cuban cigar. The menthol I had was also strong,
but that can vary by supplier. The longer you're off the analogs, the more your taste
will recover, may take a few days or weeks, everyone is different but it will happen.
Also it will progress slowly, you'll start noticing a little flavor, then more and more as
your taste buds heal.
