hi guys, name is Steve

i started vaping about a month and some change ago, already noticed a difference in lung capacity and endurance...currently have an Ego Twist and just basic Carto tanks...

decided to make a move toward mechanical for the flavor and the vapor amount... bought $23.24 Empire KeCig K100 Mechanical Rechargeable Electronic Cigarettes - blue / no battery at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

and $5.10 V5 Electronic Cigarette Round Mouth Detachable Dripping Atomizer - 1.0

on a budget, so decided ill invest more on the battery and charger... any help is always appreciated of course :)

Hi, welcome to ECF

Ok..... Here we go again :)

I'll just copy paste what I said a few hours ago to a new member getting into mech + rba:

Rule #1, 2 and 3:

Battery safety!

Did you do your homeworks! Are your batteries IRM's (which they should be) or ICR's (which they shouldn't)?

Do you have a multimeter? Do you know how to use it?

Read this for more info.

NOTE: Batteries DO blow up.

Please know the dangers of mechanicals and rba's before attempting anything.

IMHO... If you want flavor and vapor amount, a mechanical wont give you that unless you turn it into a VV unit with a kick. A mech without a kick is just big ego to me. No way to go up and down in voltage/watts to find your "sweet Spot"

But what you ordered is cheap enough..... cant hurt. Have fun !!

Im replying to myself here. I read Steams post AFTER I wrote mine. I should have left my last comment OFF. The "cant hurt Part. Steam is absolutely right. Heed his warnings.

You know that a lot of "Mech Warriors" on this forum would gladly disagree with you :p I'm one of them haha. But won't counter your arguments.... cause.... I'm to tired :D

Love my mechanicals, love my vv as well. Mechanicals there was the learning curve to deal with but it was short. There is a lot of great videos out there for building and a ton of great advice here when they don't work right the first time. Good luck on your journey chasing the perfect vape!

Mechanicals are nice, but are dangerous if you are not aware of the dangers. They are best kept to advanced/experienced vapers... a few months using various mods. You should know ohms law, battery safety, and how the basics work.

I would also suggest trying out an affordable regulated mod first, get used to caring for big batteries and chargers. Most come with an ohm/resistance checker and you can get a feel for amperage vs ohms. It'll also come in handy for when you do have a mech and start rebuilding coils for RDA/RBA -- you'll be able to check for shorts and ohms easily.

Currently I have egos, an MVP, and a k100 with an RDA. We learn by doing, and it's always good to have a comparable back-up.

im keeping my eyes on the screen and reading everything and anything i can, just a question, anyone have a reputable site where i can buy quality batteries?

Guys, need help.
My first decent mod was a Tesla. Well, it had issues from the get go, being an electrical engineer, I fixed some of the issues, but basically, the construction on this caused one failure after another. Anyway, it's Band-Aid'd right now, but I am in urgent need of a new mod, variable V&W.
I would appreciate some recommendations on a new mod and where to get it from. I need it in a day or so..
Suggestions?
Thanks
