Ran across this kit.... minus the DNA40 ,USB charger board, and battery....kinda neat for newer modders if it will go together without much trouble....grabbed one to build just to see how it all fits...switches already installed as well as the 510 connector(quality of these unknown)....

Will be building this as time allows.... if it goes together I'll post a few pictures... if it does not then this thread will just fade into ECF land....

The only thing I would use in that kit is the enclosure & battery holder.

For the 510, I'd use a spring loaded Fatdaddyvape's v4 low profile. Here is one I recently did a 510 replacement on a hana clone: http://i.imgur.com/gVtlVO0.jpg

Wires are all the same color and and will make things confusing. Get some different color wire, refer to http://www.evolvapor.com/datasheet/dna40.pdf for the appropriate gauges to use.

The screen/chip holder looks too bulky. Get rid of it.

The fire/up/down buttons look like cheap chinese clones. The original's are small metal dome tactile switches by C&K.

Yep that's exactly what I've done with FT kits, used only the enclosure and battery sled.... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ech-enclosure-mod-project-2.html#post14837866 ....this is gonna be a beta build to see how the full kit pans out without changing any parts....

OK.... built the kit with a temp protected dna board.... my feelings on the kit having just used all the parts as they came in the kit... Short and Sweet.... built one but not impressed so will not be building another with this kit....even the enclosure is lacking.... not gonna spend time explaining pro's/con's of this kit.... the only think that kinda interests me is the cradle but it even needs modifications to be useful....

I ordered one of these boxes last week. I found another site that has them in different colors. I ordered a ft box too which seems like it will arrive sooner. I plan to build the ft one with custom switches. I'm not sure this chip cradle allows room for upgrades switches or a fat daddy v4.

Op, is there enough room for any of these in the desire box?

The tactile switches are the same size as the better one ya can get in the US... FD v4 will probably work only after modifying the chip holder...

You can see in the pics that the chip mount screw into the case itself. Looks like they modified the case to have these two holes, and the backplate also has grooves to keep it from sliding. I may end up filing down the chip cradle to fit a larger 510 and button.

This kit is different than the one used in this build.....just FYI....

*It still comes with the chip holder*. These look to be (hotcig?) versions with the hana logo. the video doesnt really show, but I would assume the desire one would have the same screw holes for the chip holder too.

I already ordered a desire version thats plain old black which I prefer. The cigabuy ones seem to all be in pastel colors.

I received my desire box today. It's a nice matte black. The 510 looks crappy and with the cradle, I may not be able to fit a fat daddy 510 in there. My fdv 510s should arrive Saturday. I'll be scouting places tomorrow to see if I can get a small adjustable 510 locally.

Retird, would you recommend using the wires that came with it or would you use better ones next time? I have silicone braided wires arriving Saturday but am eager to build mine since I'm off tomorrow.
