New to Mods. Few Questions.

Day one I bought a cheap Markten. Day two I ordered a Green Smoke kit. 1 week after that I ordered a Halo Triton Tank kit. Today, 3 weeks in, I went to a shop and bought the Aspire Atlantis with the Aspire Sub battery. While at the shop the lady let me try this crazy mech mod that looked like a lightsaber on steroids.... I almost died lol. So I think I have found the level of vaping right for me. The cig-alikes showed me that vaping satisfies me just as much as analogs. The Triton Tank showed how good e-juices really taste. The Aspire showed me how good a hit can really be. The crazy mech mod almost killed me... So I think I am good with the Aspire lol.


I have a few questions, though...

So I usually use 18mg nic, but it seems too harsh with the Aspire. I used to smoke a pack a day. So I am wondering if dropping to 8mg would too much of a drop. Does anyone have experience cutting their nic in half? I am vaping twice as much as I used to smoke. So I am thinking that it would even out. Yet I worry the throat hit would be sub-par with just 8mg.

Are some juices better for mods like the Aspire? I used to love Halos Subzero in the Triton tank, but in the Aspire it is too much. I also loved Tribeca from Halo, but in the Aspire it is too sweet. Any recommendations?

Also, my stomach feels a bit funny after vaping. I read that it might be from the PG. I also have a bit of heartburn. I read that all Halo juices have different ratios. But I think what I have been vaping is 60/40. This never happened with the ciga-likes or the pen. Has any one else experienced this?

Well I went to a vape shop and the guy told me that the stomach and heartburn issues were from the nicotine level. He said that if you are used to using basic vape pens, you should cut the nicotine when moving up to sub ohm. I bought some 6mg nicotine juice and it has been so much better.

I am still going to use 12mg nicotine when using my Triton because I tend to vape on that like I used to smoke analogs. Basically 10-20 hits once an hour. With the Aspire I tend to just keep puffing for 20 or so minutes. I vaped way too much on the Aspire last night with 18mg nicotine. It wrecked me lol. The heartburn got so much worse when I went to bed.

As far as the e-juice issue, I bought some Cosmic Fog Kryptonite. It was perfect for sub ohm vaping. Just the right amount of flavor and kick.

I smoked about half a pack to a pack a day and dropped from 18mg to 12mg, but not sub ohm. I definitely noticed the drop, but I got used to it. Now when I vape some of my 18mg juice I start coughing. Sub ohm 18mg seems crazy to me, but my buddy does 24mg so I dunno.If it is the heartburn you are worried about I would cut back the pg to maybe 80vg/20pg and cut the nic down to 6mg for sub ohms and maybe 12mg regular.
