pretty new here and have been puffing on an ego-t for the past week or so. decided after seeing some sweet mods that i wanted something different so i started looking for the perfect mod for me to enjoy at home. last night i found an omega up for sale, did a bit of research and watched some vids on it and said...this is for me. it wont ship til monday but the seller was good enough to throw in a new battery and a couple used ones. now to get charger and i should be ready to roll. looking to use 510lrs and 306lrs to drip with but what to use for a longer smoke? any tips or advice on this beautiful piece will be much appreciated. ive read that customer service is second to none so that factored into my purchase also.

Every one has a certain layout that they prefer over one or the other. I've never been a fan of the 306 and love the 510 too much but there are people that would argue the opposite :p It all comes down to personal preference in that regard. I don't know if you mean more vapor or longer use without having to drip when you say 'longer smoke'. If you're referring to battery life the 18650 2600mAh should help you out with that :)

the sb is what i wanted originally as i had briefly tried it once last weekend and i didnt really know anything about omega. i kept watching the classified hoping a sb would come available...it didnt but the omega did and how happy was i to know it was made by the same maker so i knew it was good quality.

so tell me...what does everyone use on these? im assuming a carto but which one can you refer that will knock my socks off?

I've been using the Yeti C cartos from AltSmoke. My husband uses the same but he also drips so he's using AltSmokes atty. I don't drip so the cartos is all I've tried. We've only been vaping for a couple of months now so we haven't even made a dent in the vaping world yet.

will this mod take different batteries to up the volts or is the 18650 the one to use always?

at the risk of feeling kinda dumb...but how do i make my omega go to 5 and 6 volts? i have trustfire 18650s im running currently at 3.7 volt.
also how do i hook up a carto and a tank togather?
ill get the hang of this yet,lol

No need to feel dumb, there's a lot in the vaping world :D To vape at 5 volts on your Omega you can buy a 4.8 volt NiMH battery at clouds of vapor. To vape at 6 volts you can buy 2 NiMH RCR123A batteries from clouds of vapor (don't buy protected 3 volt batts as the protection circuit won't let you use low ohm dual coil cartomizers (which are awesome at 5 or 6 volts). NiMH batteries are unprotected, but are safer chemistry than the standard lithium ion.

A tank (Dual Coil Map Tank (clouds of vapor), J-Tank (Electronicstix), Big Daddy Tank (Big Daddy Vapor)) hold a cartomizer and surrounds the cartomizer with juice. The juice is fed through a hole in the cartomizer that you can easily punch with a hammer and nail. It is a simple concept and works perfectly. I recommend only punch 1 hole in the cartomizer as two holes let in too much juice. There are videos on youtube that explain how to punch a cartomizer.

As far as batteries go the AW IMR 18650 are the best (noticeably better than Trustfires). I use Tenergy 3.0 volt NiMH batteries for 6 volt vaping. And so far the 4.8 volt NiMH are only made by one supplier (I get mine from Clouds of Vapor).

Hope this helps and happy vaping!!!
