New to posting on ECF, not totally new to PVs

I've been analog free for over a year now. A few years ago I was a pack and a half a day smoker, then I split my nicotine intake between analogs and my Riva with atomizers and carts (what a pain to work with!) for about another year. Got down to about 4 analogs a day, then I got a girlfriend and switched totally to my PVs.

About 1.5 years ago, I built a syringe tank mod and started using it with SmokTech extra long cartos on my Riva batteries. It's still my primary setup, with the same old batteries. I'm glad I have 3 batteries that still work, because they're definitely showing their age! I also use a Volt with CE3s, and between the two setups, I am basically satisfied.

Reading ECF exposes me to so many beautiful and functional mods. After I graduate in May and get a good paying job, I'll finally be able to acquire at least one, probably more. I'll also start trying some juices other than my beloved Dekang tobaccos, of which RY4 and Desert Ship are currently my favorite. I just wanted to say thanks for all of the information of gleaned from this place, and vape on!

Welcome to ECF! Lets see a pic of your syringe tank mod. Pretty please?

I'm happy to oblige:

I don't remember all of the details of its construction. I basically followed a video that was linked to in one of the larger threads on building your own tank. I also drilled and reamed out a fill port that I plug with the plunger end from a smaller syringe. Filling it is very easy and doesn't require a syringe. I usually get about a day and a half out of one fill. It doesn't leak, I've dropped it way too many times and have never had any catastrophic failures. The batteries are pretty well beat up, the silver colored one had a goldish coloring over it long ago, but they do the job.

welcome & congrats.

Thanks! I'm happy to be here.

EDIT:

Actually, I totally forgot about my first e-cig. It was an M402 mini and was nothing but trouble for me. I tried to get used to dipping the exposed atty head in juice, but it was always a messy process. I'm much happier with my Volt for an analog-esque device. I busted one of my Volt batteries by accidentally throwing it out of my car window (OOPS), but once I get a replacement it'll go back in the rotation more frequently.

The tank looks pretty cool! Looks like it would be right at home atop a Bolt or Silver Bullet. I can't believe your Riva batteries have lasted long enough to where the finish of them! Tough lil things.

It does look a little silly perched on top of the Riva batteries haha. It'd fit well on a Bolt sized device like you mentioned, I've got my eye on a ZMAX at the moment. Like I mentioned earlier though, new equipment will probably have to wait. The batteries are showing their age, both externally and internally. That's why I have to carry all three:p They were a decent investment at the time though I'll probably piece together a box mod on the cheap, I've been looking into those and I'm not half bad with a soldering iron.

wow, you seem to know your stuff even though you haven't spent a fortune like the rest of us. lol. So glad you found your comfort zone. I lurked a long time too before I posted. Glad you posted. Welcome to the forum even though you've been here awhile :)

Thanks! I'm no expert in most things e-cig related, but I try to do my research before I buy anything. It's tough to resist spending more when I know there's so much that I haven't experienced yet. I just hope that by the time I'm in the position to buy more toys, er, equipment, even more exciting things will be available.

Cool! That thing looks like my wife. After school smack it on top of the Provari you should get for a grad. gift.

LOL :D

I have been drooling over a Provari for a while now. I'm intrigued by variable wattage devices though, so I may end up settling for a ZMAX or something similar. Unless they release a variable wattage Provari... but that's just crazy talk.
