Take your ProVari with you, but don't pack it in checked baggage. I've only been flagged for further search once (most TSA agents know about ecigs by now), but if you've checked your bags, you won't be there to explain what it is.

BTW, you cannot check bags with batteries unless they're isolated in an approved case. I take those in my carry on, too.

I've had my ProVari all over the country and never had a problem. Last time I was through Kennedy (in New York) one of the TSA agents tested the nicotine fluid, then called another agent over so I could explain the e-cig to him. He's a smoker. I demonstrated it, talked about juices, talked about variable voltage and how it plays into it, and dispelled the myth about antifreeze in nicotine juice (he asked).

Contact lens solution, on the other hand, turns out to be the latest threat to national security. Don't insist on clean contacts during your trip, or the terrorists will win.
