New to RBA's and having some problems with rebuilds, please help

So I just got 3 new rba's. A bulldog, a trident clone, and Igo-L. I love them all and have also purchased pre-made coils, along with wick, and wire to wrap my own. Here is my problem. I am trying to replace the single coil on my Bulldog. Yes it is a tiny RBA and I figured I would just go ahead and use one of the 2mm pre-wrapped coils. I insert the wires, screw down the screws and ........nothing happens. I have tried it over and over and still cannot get the coil to fire. I watched a gazillion videos on YouTube about rebuilding these f'ers, but I cannot get mine to fire. Pleas do not refer me to YouTube. Are there common problems that newbies encounter. I am thinking maybe it (coil) was touching post or side or something that shorts it out. Help please!!

Can you post some picture of your build? It's hard to help without seeing it, because if it isn't shorting, it should be firing. Did you build the coil yourself? Or use the premade one? The premade ones could be DOA somehow. Does it fire without the top cap on? Or not at all?

I cannot post any pics right now, but I will later once I do it again. I am using two clones. A V3 clone and a Sentinel M16 clone. (all brass one wit floating pin and one fixed) The pre-made coils I am trying to use are 2 Ohms. (about 6 wraps) I have considered backing off a coil or two, but it should still fire with a full charge on these guys.

Oh and this is the first time I am changing a coil. I got all of these rba earlier this week. I only say this cause when I watched people doing it online I was like ".... that looks fairly easy, I think I can handle that". So I bought a multimeter, some rba's, and all the other crap I listed earlier.....and now......failure.

My first thought is that perhaps you tightened the screws down too tight and severed the leg of the coil. It only needs to be snug. I personally have an IGO L and a bull dog. I found the IGO L to be a little easier to work w/ when building my own. I would try and wrap a coil for the IGO first then when you are successful at that try wrapping a coil and installing it on the bulldog. Make sure the coil is not touching the post anywhere other than the post. Check to see that none of the coils are touching each other and lastly loosen the screws take it out and reinsert the coils and only tighten the screws t a snug level. Also check other atomizers on your mods and make sure the mods themselves are functioning correctly. Ill check back in for an update. Good luck be safe.

Thanks. I have rebuilt a coil in my trident and was successful. It tasted a little burnt at first so I adjusted the coil and raised it off the bottom some. That seems to help. Can you give me any more common mistakes made by people new to rebuilding atomizers? I mean I know I am gonna do a lot of stuff crappy at first, but if I can avoid some common mistakes that would be great. I think I am going to just get solid with single coils on the Trident and Igo-L and then try the bulldog later. I mean it is so tiny it kinda begs the questions why anyone would use it anyway.

I can't think of any typical issues people have that stops a coil from firing. There is probably no contact somewhere there should be to allow the circuit to be complete. Your mod is working as I think you said other atties work. When you can, check the resistance on your Bulldog's 510 connection with the coil mounted. If the coil is correct, you will see the resistance of the coil. If contact is somehow lost in the atty somewhere you will get zero resistance.

If you get coil resistance from the 510 connector and battery voltage from the PV and the Bulldog does not fire when on the PV then your 510 connection has an issue with the Bulldog.
