Ok Im too excited to start this and just ended up ordering all this from vividsmoke

Clear Jerrican Drip Tip
Chinese Zodiac Drip Tips
- Animal: Dragon
hcigar Gamma Atomizer Clone
Kanthal A-1 Wire 28g AWG

After doing some more research sounds like a quad coil set up might be an overkill for a newbie like me so I was thinking of starting with just a dual coil 20g needle wrapped tightly 14 times and tilted upwards.

Nimbus is good, i recently bought a helio. Very easy to build duels and quads on. I use 24g, with 8 wraps around a 1/16" drillbit for my duel coil builds comes out to .24 ohms and makes toms of clouds. Alawy makes sure your battery can handle your coils. I'd reccomend downloading the ohms law app. Put in 3.7 for your volts and whatever ohm coil you build as your resistance and it will tell you how many amps its going to pull.

My S1000 is using 3.7 2000mAh (7.4WH) battery. The whole Ohm thing is spanish to me does it matter how many times I wrap it or how big of a gauge it is how does that effect it?

I decided to go with a HCigar Gamma Atomizer Clone I believe this is called the dripper system  thought it be more convinient than having to pop the tank open every time and pore oil.

a Nimbus clone was my first RBA, it was good to me while it lasted(got stolen).
It was easy to build on and worked pretty well.
Get a good battery and ohms meter as suggested and practice.

Yes wraps and kanthal size does matter, as they affect the resistance rating.
Typically when the resistance is high, less power is bieng used, and Lower ohms, means more power/heat are gonna flow through your coils.

The bigger the gauge (lower number/thicker wire) the lower the resistance (measured in ohms), more wraps = higher resistance, low ohms drain a lot of amps from your battery, if you drain more amps than your battery can handle it will vent/explode/catch fire. There are lots of guides on battery safety on here, read them all until you understand them.

I would think the organic stores should have the unbleached cotton balls or q-tips that wouldnt neeed to be boiled? In case not how do I boil them just dump the cotton in the boiling pot for a few minutes than dump out and air dry?

i would really like to know the answer to this as well because i plan on using the same for my first rda, also i plan to use a tesla regulated pv and aiming for a 1.3 ohm dual coil build and want the best wicking and need to know if organic cotton is the way to go.

Even if you do buy organic you still have to boil.

All you do is buy about 5 or 6 bottles of distilled water poor your cotton balls in a pot then poor the water in enough to cover the cotton boil for 15 min then take out rinse with distilled water then repeat one more time then air dry it takes a long time them to do that so I air dry for 2-3 days then I finally put them in the microwave for 3-4 min

This cannot be stressed enough. If Ohm's law is Spanish to you, keep reading it until it isn't. Or find someone to explain it to you in more layman's terms.

We don't want you burning your face off.

Dragan, you need to slow down a little bit! I know you're really excited and I'm sure the experience will be great but please get familiar with ohms law, get good gear, and at least watch a bunch of vids on youtube that explain the process.

RDAs are great, rebuilding can be a lot of fun, but until you know what you're doing you need to be careful as there are some dangers involved. What did you say you were going to try and build, dual 22 wrap coils? That's crazy, you'll end up more than frustrated trying to get that to happen with your early builds. Get some 28 or 30 kanthal and go for more reasonable wraps, even try some SINGLE coils before you think about something like quad or dragon coils.

We're glad you're vaping, glad you're on this forum, and not trying to burst your bubble but please slow down!

my impression is find out what your batterys amp rating is i have 18650 imr efest 2000mah apperently rated at 10 amps and using ohms law at 3.7 volts and 9 amps to be safe .411 ohms is the lowest ide ever go, if i was using a mech any way. also what ive learned is that most 18650 batterys even at full charge say 4.1 - 4.2 volts but under load they use 3.7 ish depending on batt quality it will stay closer to 3.7 the more drained the batt gets. i got most of this from a realy good video #CloudChasing: Intro to Sub Ohm Vaping - YouTube a little long but def worth watching all the way through. im still very unclear to the difference a regulated device will have on this other than not being able to sub ohm.

I do it like this:

- dump bag into pot
- dump distilled water into pot, enough to cover the balls
- boil for half hour
- strain, then dump on multiple folded sheets of paper towels and squeeze out the excess water
- pile on clean cookie sheet and air dry for 24-48 hours until completely dry
- ziplock

:)
