I'm assuming you are asking about cartotanks?

Here's a method of setting up a cartotank: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html

Be sure to use pre-punched cartomizers or have a carto punch tool to make your own holes in the carto. Use only the silver stainless steel cartos, not the colored ones. And be sure to use the appropriate length of carto (standard - 35mm; XL - 45mm) for the tank you have: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...nched-single-coil-cartomizers-cartotanks.html

Be aware that some tanks use polycarbonate plastic for the tank part, which some flavors can crack or melt the plastic: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...6-something-safe-cinnamon-citrus-flavors.html

Happy vaping! Cartotanks are my preferred juice delivery device. Once you get over the slight learning curve and it becomes second nature to you, you will experience no leaks and likely better flavor with your tank.

I have a Texas Tuff Tank, which looks like a cartotank as you described, Baditude. It leaked. Chocolate liquid all down into every part of my twist and all over my truck.

I also need something that doesn't leak, and I can lay it on its side. The Vision Clearomizer leaked out the top when on it's side, out the bottom, I don't know why and wanted to unscrew on the bottom when trying to to take it of my Ego Twist.

Other ideas?

Were the grommets nice and tight and was it sealed properly?

You can pick up grommets pretty cheap.
replacement vinyl grommet and silicone o-ring

I've had pretty good luck with them and only had an issue once I think with a leak and it seemed that one of the grommets wasn't real tight.

I've used only grommet tanks for over a year now. One leaked totally out, like yours, overnite. Didn't take the time to figure out why. Maybe a loose screw? Failed carto?

I once washed and re-assembled one hastily with Wet grommets and the tank was Very loose until they dried.

Some grommets fit tighter than others, some screws go all the way to the carto for a secure hold, some screws have orings for a great seal.

I order my poly-carbs from Mom and Pop vapor shop, and Valley View Vapes.

So my question is: Are there any benefits to a tank other than it handling more juice over a boge cartomizer?

Better flavor? Do they last longer without having to replace? What's the point of them? I am a total N00B to them.

For me, I got tired of topping off cartos all day ( I vape 5-6ml). But when I got mine, the first thing that hit me was the quality of the vape. W/o tank, the vape went from very full to dry hit. The tank hits that sweet spot Everytime.

Now, instead of topping cartos all day ( blowing them out, drying them off. etc..) it takes me 5second to fill my carto tank.

Probably makes the carto last longer too ( I vape unflavored, so it's weeks in between changes). 60 ml per carto.

So there's not that big of a benefit of having to refill? That doesn't bother me cause I only vape 1.3-2.0 ml a day, so I only refill like once or twice a day. Unless there's a flavor boost, 18 dollars seems a bit steep. That Kanger Protank looks GORGEOUS though, and would get it if I can afford it. But I'm working with a 25-28 dollar budget with juice and a tank if not less with shipping, and want to order my eliquid through vaporgod. I do order 2 day shipping (priority), anything on there worth purchasing? If not, i'll have to order the tank elsewhere (hopefully a nice one without leaking for under 10)

Thanks Gtrsolism, I appreciate that. It looks beautiful, but i'm just starting out. When I get more money, I think that's out of my budget atm :p If someone can either pvt message me to chat on facebook about this, I'm considering the Kanger t2 or t3 from mt baker vapor along with some of their ejuice. I hear the t3 doesn't drip, but the t2 has a better and warmer vapor and is more prone to dripping and leakage.

I started with the T2 tank, but the evod is much better, IMO. Easier to fill, use and clean, and if you decide to get a protank later, the heads are interchangeable.

Thanks! Went with the evods, but they're making me sick. Could be the liquid change to MBV as well, or they are just THAT much stronger than Cartomizers..
