Hello everyone out there! Im a ex smoker of a little over 17 years smoking a half to a pack a day and today makes 1 week vaping with no analogs and I couldn't feel better! I noticed every search I done while researching e Cigs on google pointed me to this forum so I figured what better place? I've been lurking for a little while because every question I've had so far has been answered after little to no effort searching the forums. Just though I should give u guys a little intro and thanks for all help I've received so far and any I will in the future (which I'm sure I will as I like to research things before I make the leap).

Hi E_red3 and welcome to ECF. There are a number of us who lurked here for a while before joining. Glad you found this community and joined us.

Congrats on being analog free for 1 week. That is HUGE ! I have been analog free since my second day of vaping and feel tons better.

By joining ECF, you can share your vaping journey with us and encourage others to keep the vape !!!

What equipment and juice(s) have been working for you during this first week?

So do we :)

Preferably unbiased and unedited by 'special interest groups'.

Hm, looking at it this way, we're a 'special interest group' too. Like we have special interests in our health, our wellbeing, our quality of life...

I picked up a ego starter kit and ad soon as it finished charging I gave the half pack or so I had away and haven't looked back since. The smell of a cigarette makes me wonder why I started in the first place! It truly amazed me at how easy the transition was! I tried the patches once and that crashed and burned lol, just made me nauseous. Thanks again for taking the time to read. It really helps having support!

Oh and I just grabbed a couple bottles of menthol 24mg juice from my local tobacco store. Its branded ecto and doesn't say the VG/PG but it gives a good throat hit and decent vapor. The only info I've found on it was from ectoworld and it just shows the different flavors and nic levels, but my ego and clearo vapes it decent enough that analogs weren't on my mind.

Glad to hear your transition went smoothly. My start was similar to yours. I got my kit on a Saturday, had some analogs left over and vaped and smoked that day. The next day, Sunday, I had one analog left and smoked it mid-day and have been analog free since then. Today is day 89 and I am thrilled. I'm still using the same equipment I started with (a eGo t upgraded batter, I think 900mah, and Kanger MT3S clearos). I have multiples of each (many multiples of the clearos and about 20 coils) and have started experimenting with different flavor juices. It's been a fun ride so far and I want to keep the vape.

Although I have learned a bunch from this community, one thing has really stuck out for me. That is to be sure to get backups and backups for your backups. I appreciate that advice because I never want to be in a position of being tempted back to analogs because of an equipment malfunction. So I hope you get backups and backups for your backups !!!

Your right ccubed! That's what I'm working on now is getting back ups as I DO NOT wanna have equipment failure and end up smoking analogs to suffice. I really enjoy vaping and I think I found my new hobby lol. What's sad is the people that bash vaping. In my opinion it will save lives and I have a 7 year old that I want to see graduate high school and help raise my grandkids some day and I didn't see that happening smoking cigarettes with all the chemicals they put in those "death sticks" as I like to call the now.

WTG you 2! and Welcome E-red3! Vaping has become a wonderful hobby for my hubby and I. 26 years married, kids all grown up and gone and now we have found such an amazing community within the vaping world! We couldn't be happier to spend our time and resources on something that helps to improve our health as well as keeps us busy.

I completely agree for having backups and having backups for your backups. I upgraded to my MVP a couple weeks ago but kept my eGo (as well as a eGo clone I was "tricked" into buying, I didn't know the difference) as a backup in case I have a problem with my MVP. I also take my eGo to the bar with me for all those folks who are interested in trying mine out. I'd much rather have someone drop my eGo than my MVP lol
