Two really good friends of mine got me started with the EGO. After our vape social today I realized how in depth this really is. But I am still not 100% sure of everything. If anyone has any pointers for me please feel free to chime in. I think I have offically given up paying $7 per pack, im HOOKED.

*Do some heavy research about mods and find one that interests you the most.
*Weigh out what you are willing to spend on that mod or pv. This is because you also have to buy juice, atties, cartos, batteries, and adapters. This will add up fast.

-Once you find the mod or pv you like. Check out a specific thread that only discusses a particular pv/mod. This will help you familiarize yourself with what you have bought and help you when you have issues.
-If you can't find it. Use the search option.

*Buy 3-10ml of juice from various vendors that you are interested in. That way you will find something that works for you and maybe a vendor/vendors you will like.
*Get backups pv/mod in case something breaks
*Start off with stronger mg juices such as 18-36. If you smoked regular strength cigs than 24+ is for you.
*Look for sales when they are available. This can be found in the supplier sub forums and threads in the General discussion area. Sign up for newsletters when making orders is also another method.
*Don't let the hype fool you. What works for someone might not work for you.
*MOST important tip I can give you. If you don't understand something...ask. Make a thread about it and people will answer. Trust me and if you don't get a response after a little while. Make another post and type BUMP.

Glad your on your way!!
My suggestions>..
My personal opinion is that "the right juice" will take you some small investment
money and time to find out what pleases and taste good to "YOU".
Buy small samples, from several vendors and just spend some time reading
and learning here.
Although we all can list a little list of suggestions....NOTHING can take the
place of you reading and learning and spending some hours here learning
from all our experiences, good and bad.
There will be some bumps and curves along the way, and your knowledge
will help you soooooooo much.
So, get going and can't wait to hear how it's all going for you.

Try Boge cartomizers for your favorite thinner juices. Cartomizer hold 2x or more as much than an atomizer cart, need juice less often, provide a more consistent vaping experience. Downside - they have limited lives though some people manage to clean/dry them to get a bit extra use. I can get about a week of use out of each, sometime more. I don't clean them.

Cartomizers are the way most people vape on Ego, and Boge are the most popular. I use the standard resistance and recommend you try those first. Then once you are used to filling them and keeping them damp, you could try the hotter 2.0 ohm ones (those do use up your charge faster though)

How I fill Vapor4Life KR8 cartos and Boge 510 cartos

Pop out the soft cap with an unbent paperclip in the mouth hole, very careful not to catch stuffing or the wire loop.
Shake and open the eliquid
Hold a bit of tissue on the threaded end hole, tilt the carto, and add 18 drops per ml of capacity into the stuffing (Boges and most KR8 cartos are about 1ml).
Wait 15 seconds or so then see how many more drops the carto stuffing will soak in easily.
Clean up the threaded end, tilt open end down into tissue, puff into threaded end to clear air channel (Boges and the KR8 cartos I use have a defined center air channel and I want to see light through that)
Sop up any loose juice above the stuffing
Cap and let it settle - I lay it on different sides for 15-20 minutes to make sure every bit of stuffing gets damp so I won't singe the carto. if you use thicker juice than me (I use 20% Vg or less) then you may need to wait much longer.

While vaping, if the vapor gets a bit light or a bit dry or the carto is getting hotter than normal, I take the carto off the battery and add eliquid. I sometimes use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece on Boge and KR8 cartos (not to drip into since the juice would head for the central air channel)
