New to the forum, and making juice

Hello everyone,
New to the forum and looking for some help. I looking into making my own juice and I have a few questions. If I buy premixed PG with 6mg nicotine and VG with 6mg nicotine then add my aprox 20% flavor, is It safe to say I will end up with a juice with a little less then 6mg in the juice. So 30% PG 6mg nic, 70% VG 6mg nic and 20% flavor. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance.

buy some 36mg/ml nicotine and plain pg\vg. Bullcity vapor and wizardlabs are both great places with high quality nic. If you have a spill with 36 it isn't super toxic as long as you clean it up and don't drink it.

Order a couple syringes to measure. 1ml, 3ml, and 10 ml. couple of each and some blunt tip needle tips. I recommend buying 10 of the 1 ml syringes you use them often and they are not super durable. tape the measurement markings or use clear nail polish it rubs off prety easy. 2 14 gauge and 2 20 gauge for measuring flavors and pg\vg.

Get the ejuice me up calculator it is free and pretty easy to use.

edit - most flavors are pg or alcohol or some combo of both and will affect the ratio. for instance 70/30 vg would be 70% vg 10% pg and 20% flavoring. so if it was 6 to start reduce by 20% to about 4.8mg per ml. not all recipes are 20% flavor but you get the concept

Yep you are right it would be less than 6mg/ml total. If you are trying to mix at exactly 6mg you could pick up some higher nic concentrates and then go to e-Liquid Calculator :: New recipe and plug in your numbers and go from there. Good Luck!

Sure, I'm thinking your mg/ml % would be about 4.8mg/ml with the 20% flavor added and if you went with 15% flavoring it would be about 5.1 mg/ml.

yep it will work. Easy is a whole different matter lol. Making a single flavor seems easy. but even that is challenging at first. But it is a lot of fun. Good luck and see you in the DIY section

+1 on getting some higher NIC so you can mix it at your true 6mg, then you'll even be able to go lower as you choose since you'll also have the PG and VG on hand. It may seem overwhelming in the ordering and the thought of it, but it's actually really simple and only adds a couple extra steps to your mixing. For the couple extra steps, it gives you a world of options though, and costs less in the long run. Have fun, and keep it simple...

I would suggest downloading the ejuicemeup calculator (its free) and order a bottle of 12mg in pg and a bottle of plain pg and plain vg. I actually prefer wizard lab but that's JMO. Then you can make it come out exactly the way you want. It wont break you and you will have some flexibility later. In the long run it will pay for itself numerous times

Welcome to the forum Tucson! I started out My DIY adventure with 6mg/ml nic. It was a good place for me to start. The first thing I learned was to start low with flavor and work up. It's a lot easier to add more flavor, than to try and thin down some juice with too much. Good luck, and have fun!
