:vapor: Hi folks

I'm new to the forums but I'm not new to vaping, but new to rebuildables..... so before I start messing with coils etc etc..... (I like my hands and face they way they are..... don't want to blow them up lols)..... are there any threads or stickys specifically on ohms coils and all the important info I need to read up on..... I have been trawling through the forums.... there is some good info.... but it's scattered.... all over the place.....is there not just 1 place dedicated to learning.... ie "The Teachers Corner"......and also is there a list of abreviations.... (sp)????? every time I start to read a thread... I have to stop and google some abreviations.... lol sorry my spelling is pants....

I just wanna make sure I'm doing this right before I start messing with coils and the like

I currently use The Natural magnet by Smok..... which is great.... after tweeking..... with a Vivinova 3.5ml tank.....which IMHO is ok.... when it's running right... but can be very glitchy.... gurgling especially sends me mental.... so would like to move up to a different type of tank cartomizer/atomizer....... xx:)

Welcome to ECF !! :toast:

This should give you some reading .....http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/521076-one-stop-reference-shop-new-experienced-vapers.html

And ask questions when stumped, we're a friendly bunch. Also what sort of problems are you having with your Vivi-Nova? Are they genuine Vision Vivi? Have you trimmed the wicks, and fluffed them? What VG_PG ratio eliquid are you using? So many questions so little time....

I've been using the Vivi for about a year and a half and really like them, but there may be a bit of a learning curve to get the best vape out of them.

Hi! :)

The Natural by smok is a decent mod. It should have been OK out of the box.... what needed tweaking?

I haven't used or recommended Vivi Novas for over a year now, so inconsistent performance doesn't surprise me.

If you know how to make coils/wicks, you can consider almost anything to go on your mod. Basic, cheap and usable would be the Protank 2, preferably with the airflow controller.... BUT, unless you are going to make your own coils, it's decidedly hit and miss, because of the pesky Kanger coils.

If it was me, I'd try a fully rebuildable atomizer. Order your wire, get some organic cotton wool (maybe from a shop in town) and enjoy a great vape. I don't buy RBAs in the UK, because giving somebody £39.99 for a product I can buy direct for £10-18 is not in my nature.

You can learn on the Protank 2 while you wait for the 3+ weeks post time from China.

I got my PT2 and airflow from Myepack for £11. It's good, but I did have to rebuild it in under 24 hours.

Rebuildables in what way? A tank system like the Kayfun or a RDA, a Dripping rebuildable?

What Ohm coil are you thinking of using? Sub 1 Ohm or a normal build in the 1.3 to 1.8 range?

What type of battery device? A regulated device, variable voltage and or wattage and or both VV/VW, or a Mechanical Mod, no regulation at all?

As to wrapping coils there are some very good videos on YouTube, specifically Rip Tripper and PBusardo along with some other and I've found this AR15.com forum post to be a great help.

Kayfun micro coil build tutorial (pic heavy) -

If you are going to use a regulated battery device there is little chance of you blowing yourself up. These type of devices have safety feartures built into them.
If you are going for a Mech Mod then anything can and does happen.

Your spelling is Pants? What the hell does that mean. Last time I checked Pants were worn on your legs and fastened around your waist (Not half way down your Arss).

Common English expression for "rubbish" or "not good".... Pants is English underwear, not trousers.

Kind of like ..., Boot, Bonnet, wind screen and the like. Got to love those English people. If it wasn't for them the USA wouldn't exist, having lost the revolution and all.
