Hello everyone,
Little history on me,
U.S. Navy Vet ( 6 years service), started smoking right after boot camp, pack a day till vaping first got big. (Around.. 2012-ish I think) I went from the stinkies to an old mod that reminded me of a light saber with a face( I don't remember which one) I was a full time vaper for over a year after my first deployment. Fast forward to the next (and my final) deployment and my mod at the time broke, had a few drinks in Portugal, and found my favorite cigarettes in the world, (which aren't sold in the states) and it was over. I was back to cigs just as fast as I put them down.

Another fast forward, I've since separated from the military and been really wanting the vape to work for me, and I'm almost there. The issue I'm having now is finding the sweet spot for my alien 220w with my baby beast and making coils last for a while. I find myself going back to cigs every time I go through a coil in under a week. I prefer the x4 coils they have lasted me at least 1500-2500 puffs each, all the others, usually don't even make it to 1k. The juice I'm running atm is SVRF's Satisfying. Let me know what you guys think. I'm strictly referring to a long lasting coil, nicotine delivery. Don't really care about flavor/clouds, that comes second.

Welcome to ECF

The Baby Beast does go through coils fast. It's a known issue. Maybe move on to another tank. I own the baby beast myself but stopped using it. I'm currently using a SMOK prince tank and the coils are lasting much longer for sure. The Princes uses a different coil. I also can recommend Tobeco Super Tanks. They work great. I use Aspire coils in the Super tank and I get easily a month or more per coil.

Do those coils also run ~$25 a 5-pack?
Trying to keep this on a budget, and how much are those suggested tanks?

Did you wrap coils for your old tank or was it a carto?
Its been a while since I made my own coils, I did dabble in the mechanical side of things throughout my journey, but the kanger subohm series killed that for me, and I never got that good at it, then everyone under the sun started doing the same style tanks. I mean who doesn't like a tank that hits like an old RBA and only filling it like every 50 puffs at most? (if you have a quick burning juice)

Tobeco Super Tank coils are reasonable. I am enjoying the Freemax Fireluke with the .25Ω coil. Getting a month out of the coil and could push it another week or two. The price of prebuilt coils has dropped, I get a 10pk for 10.00 and each coil lasts 4-12 weeks in my rtas depending what gauge wire and coil style I order. Might want to reconsider an rta. The Ello tank and coils are pretty good as well.

The Aspire coils? $13-15 per five pack. The Super tank can be had for $19.99 these days. It is a great tank. Coils are fairly priced like I said. I ran those coils at 25-35 watts which is perfect IMO for these coils. They always last me 30 days or more. Towards the end the taste starts to lesson as would be expected but still; considering the coils last so long the cost is worth it. A 5 pack lasts me 5 months give or take.

Another tank you may want to consider for flavor but also long lasting coils would be the Crown Uwell series of tanks. The original and V3 are well liked, lots of resistance options, but the tank gets great reviews from almost everyone who uses it.

An RTA might be a good option. A lot of sub0hm folks like the Engine series, they're easy to build on and don't tend to leak, with good flavor.

Best of luck, shortened coil life does cause annoyance particularly if on a budget.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Might help if you look at the rebuildable information below:

I've said this elsewhere - but try getting the Pro C1 (or related) coils from Joyetech - they are compatible with that tank and in my opinion 100 times better and more reliable. Also - what wattage are you putting through them? I vape the Pro C1 .4ohm coil at 30-35W, I find that better than the recommended 40W minimum
