Just thought I would get my intro post out of the way, I am relatively new to the vaping world, but I have been analog free since April and very glad I got into the vaping world. My brother has been on here for a while (James aka Krimson Kustoms) and he turned me onto the site. I originally started with an Ego-T but have now switched to both a 3.7v & 5v box mod from him and loving them.

So howdy all!

Welcome to the forum, Louis. Sounds like you're going in the right direction. Nice to have someone to give you experienced advice. My startup was much more of a struggle until I finally found the ego-t and things got much better. I just got my first project box and am looking forward to building and trying 5v myself.

Yes thankfully I didn't have to struggle too much with too many crappy systems, although I did buy my first e-cig at a smoke shop in Oklahoma when I finally decided that maybe they would help me quit. It was kind of a piece of junk and just wasn't close enough to a real cigarette for me, then my brother got the Ego-T and once I tried it I was sold on that one and bought my own. I think it only took me about 3-4 days to switch from two packs a day to using the Ego-T solely, and just recently switched over to the box mods (had the box mods for a while as they were some prototypes of my brothers) after finally finding some carto's that I liked. He is in the process of building me a special one for helping him with putting together his new work area for modding so I can't wait to get that one!

Wecome Louis, 5 months and running, congrats! :)

Thanks! Ya know I never thought I would make it this far, I was pretty sure I would be a smoker till it put me in the ground. Even a lot of my friends have totally shocked faces when I tell them I quit smoking, then come the questions of how and I have to start into the whole discussion about vaping, but I guess that comes with the territory. Between my brother and I we have gotten a dozen friends and family members off of analogs and into vaping so far, helping to destroy the tobacco giants one person at a time! haha

I used to say I'd like to have more one cigarette on my deathbed on the last breath, not anymore. Yes, we're gaining momentum. Unfortunately, that means BT will strike back soon. :(

But good for you and your bro, one at a time is the only way. :thumb:

I don't care what they do to try and hurt the vaping world, I won't ever go back to analogs. It's funny after being a heavy smoker for so long, now that I have been off of them for a while I can't stand to be around them now, even talking to somebody that smokes and smelling it on their breath bothers me.

Smoke could be bothersome now that we're no longer spewing it. I'm a little more forgiving with smokers, knowing I was one of "them" for 30 years. When I smoked, I always stayed far away from non-smokers, walked a little more, go around the corner. Smokers haven been relegated to 2nd or even 3rd class citizens in today's society. It would be ironic if we vapers turned into anti-smokers too. But, to each his own. :)
