I haven't gotten mine yet to see it clearly in my hands. But looking at your pic, is the chimney sleeve still pushed all the way down? Do you leave it there, or click it into place before screwing the cap on?

No you have to raise it until it sort of snaps into place, it was just pushed down so I could take the pics.

I tried a bunch of clones and they all sucked. I ended up buying an authentic. The reason they sucked was the -s removable base caused a ton of connectivity issues. The authentic, if you like the clone will blow you away fit and finish wise. Gt2 is one of the few clones I bought that never worked right and I went out and bought the authentic.

You can buy an authentic base and use clone parts for the rest, at least the hotcig Clones work well enough to pair with the authentic one.

I just build mine with an infinity coil last night. I've used infinity coils a ton in kayfun but due to the air hole design I didn't feel it would be ideal in the gt2. So I gapped it more across the middle to allow air to,flow better through the collection chamber. I was worried the extended joint wouldn't hold up and would heat through and break but with the cotton and liquid in there it's not an issue. The result is a super flavorful vape that takes a fair bit of power and chucks vapor.

For the underside of the cotton I ended up cutting it close to the bottom of each chimney coil and then pushing it back towards the center air hole.

Anyway I highly recommend this build 28 gauge, 8 wraps total around a 2.5mm post split into four (you just food the coil in half effectively making sure you go the right direction to have both leads on the bottom. I bunny ears the build on my taifun like I build the hurricane. It works a lot better to tuck the cotton down than to cut the cotton on the outside. You can close the top chimney cap all the way down. Just make sure the cotton "shoulders" are pressed up against the wicking holes, and wick tight. I use 90% vg juice and have no issues. It takes thirty watts with no issue, and is around a 1 ohm build. This build works wonderfully in the gs2 also

Also check out the steam tuners matte to clear tank option. It's durable and looks amazing. Don't get the clear tank from fasttech. I ordered a five pack and one fit standard drip tips, only 2/30 tips I tried. 4/5 didn't fit any drip tips I had.

I accidentally reposted the clone part. I meant to only post the infinity coil. Relax brother. I apologize for posting my experience with taifun gt2 clones in more than one thread. I should probably be stoned now.

That's a pretty sweet idea. I haven't been too creative with my coils recently, but I like that it comes out to around 1 ohm. I typically like my RTA's to be between 1-1.1 ohms.

I've never made an infinity coil, but it looks simple enough

I try to run my builds around .85-1.1 usually under if I can hit it. Thing about infinity coils is they're dead easy to make and they are suited to temp control builds too. I've made a fair bit of. Jamel builds running 28 gauge nickel. They held up fine. Give it a shot it's worth the extra minute to make IMO. The flavor is great. It does take just a split second more tk heat up on the first draw but it's not really an issue for me. Ymmv

Here are the videos k linked to in the other read. I figure a cross post is probably ok on this information right?

----begin cross post avert your eyes now if you've seen this before ----
Here's one for the lung hitters. I've used these with temp control too for what it's worth. Been a while. I forgot how much I like them.

Here's a single coil with a smaller gauge but the other way round

I have been using the Taifun almost exclusively the past 2 weeks. It's been alright, but my Squape R has been leaking a little (just enough to be annoying, but not enough to take it completely apart and figure out what's going on). So I put the juice from my Squape into my Taifun. The first few drags were no where near as tasty as in the Squape. And after 2 weeks, I am thoroughly unimpressed with the flavor from this tank. I use a simple 28 coil at 5 wraps. First, 5 wraps give me 1.07 ohms in the squape. The same build in the Taifun is 1.2ohm. I'd rather have it closer to 1. Do you think the infinity coil will improve the flavor that much?
