New to this whole Vapor smoking

Just had some probably simple questions to ask. I smoke a pack every 3 days, so about 7 or 8 daily. I don't really plan on using this device to quit but more as an alternative that might be a little healthier for me. First question is this product right for me, i am little hesitant about it. As stated before if i did get this product what is a trusted U.S. based brand that the FDA has deemed "safe". Also what Mg would i start with i only smoke 7 cigs a day so i was thinking something low 6Mg? maybe lower maybe higher. Basically have no idea what i am getting myself into and maybe some one with experience in this field could help me out.

The FDA hasn't approved ANY PVs as "safe." As a matter of fact, they are inexpicably warning everyone to stay away from them. However, no one is aware of anyone reporting major health issues with a PV. Some people have had minor allergic reactions to the PG and switched to VG.

I was a 6-8 cig smoker and I do fine with the "low" nicotine - usually around 11-12 mg.

I would recommend ordering some non-tobacco flavors along with one tobacco. vaping really comes into it's own with the wonderful non-tobacco flavors offered! My absolute favorite is nhaler.com's French Vanilla Coffee!

A good USA reseller is nhaler.com or libertyecig.com (he has good prices, great kits and free shipping) and try a Joye510 from them or a Vapor King from vapor4life.com.

Thanks for fast replies! I will check out those websites and see if they are affordable for me any other suggestions or comments. If i got would i could see myself getting tobacco flavored just cause the artificial flavoring kinda sketches me out like... what did they put in this to make it flavored and what the hell is in this liquid? and who can i trust! then again i don't even trust the cig companies these days.... so i dunno why i am complaining haha.

i suggest u get a sweet flavor as well as tobacco to try both...most ppl will find they dont like tobacco flavor as much later on...RY4 or tennesee cured is popular, they have a tobacco/vanilla/caramel/hazelnut kind of taste...the juice is PG and/or VG with nicotine and flavorings...u can find PG and VG in many household food grade products, u can also find PG used for cigarettes...most of the sweet flavorings are from food grade flavorings that would be used for baking, candy, etc...

I see your sig. says you have a 510 dripper? what product would you recommend?
my sig meant i have a 510 and i drip...u'll figure out dripping, etc. other ways to add juice to ur ecig later...the 510 is a popular product with good performance, but u can see info on other models as well, check the reviews and video review sections...there are also reviews on flavors...hope that helps :)

PS. read the sticky threads on the top of this forum section for alot of other helpful info (put ur location in ur profile)

Hi Ambien22,

I'm very new to this as well. Perhaps the only difference might be that I've been reading the holy-sugar outta' the threads here on ECF. Trying to learn ..ya' know?

Anyway.... What Kristin said!!

Except... if I might (with all due respect) clarify one point she offered. And this is only in case you haven't already discovered this on your own.

The reference made to PV & VG refers to the two different "bases", if you will, that are used amongst the wide variety of different e-liquids available (also often referred to as 'Juice'). As you continue to investigate the choices... you'll find that there is/are (arguably slight) differences between the two different kinds of Juices that depend on whether they are a 'PV' type or a 'VG' type. I won't go much further into it cuz I am, after all, a newcomer as well.

but you can easily poke around and discover here on ECF what the important ideas are between the two.

best of luck..

what is a dripper?
there are several ways to add juice to an ecig instead of getting pre-filled cartridges, dripping is one of them...check the sticky threads for a link to the 'abbreviations' thread
Yeah i am coming into this new E-vaping thing on the wrong hand i have seen many claims and rumors, and seen one thread saying some companies are scammers and cannot be trusted so basically i am trying to get some real world information and what brand of vaporizers they are using.
u'll find lots of info here especially in the reviews section...here is one of the most useful sticky threads from the top of this forum section: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/37186-great-info-new-members.html
and wait cuz i'm sure someone local can help u more in this thread soon...

From what i read you basically have cartridges that hold this "nicotine substance" or E-Juice, E-Liquid. So you can buy empty ones and fill them up yourself (aka drip) or you can buy pre-made ones that the factor fills for you with strength and flavor you want. Personally i would rather drip then buy pre-made ones mainly on cost seems like it will be a lot cheaper. Still looking for a brand of vaporizer to buy i want one in the same shape as a cig but i don't care if it looks one or not it could be neon pink for all i care i want quality mainly...

thank you "TheJoker" like some one posted above i read all the stickies and i feel that i gained a lot of knowledge also i watch a blog of a man on you tube with multiple episodes that informed me greatly on his experience with e-vaping... I am really excited about this and want to learn more and possibly get one... smoking helps calm me down and keeps me level headed, will this vaping accomplish the same thing?

yep, i find it more relaxing in some ways, takes time to get used to, but i'd rather use these than cigarettes! keep reading to find the right model, juice flavors & nicotine strength for u, everyone has their preferences...

this is a quote from the abbreviations page...check the sticky threads! :)
Topping off - Adding drops of e-liquid to your current cartridge.
Dripping - Vaping by adding a few drops of e-liquid directly on the atomizer instead of using a cartridge.
Dipping - Sticking the bridge of the atomizer in e-liquid.

Actually, "dripping" is when you put the liquid directly on the atomizer instead of into the cartridge.

Seriously, you can't go wrong with a 510 from libertyecig.com or nhaler.com. Make sure you get a PPC (Personal Charging Case) too. You won't regret it. It's a good, solid workhorse and easy to use. Not much bigger than a 100's cigarette. Get black with a blue light, so people don 't think you're smoking in non-smoking areas! :)

Others swear by the Vapor King for ease of use, but the cartomizers are a little more expensive - although you can refill them a couple of times with e-liquid, too.

Anything else is going to be a lot bigger or look a lot stranger to someone used to a tobacco cigarette. A 510 or Vapor King is a good starter PV.

Once again thank you all for the quick replies i have been to other forums and waited about a week to get 2 posts that prove to be useless i am doing a lot of research and looking into these a lot. I really want to start e-vaping as soon as possible but don't wanna rush into it to fast and make mistakes. I also am looking at Vapor king but wanna make sure i can fill my own cartridges and afford the juice.
