Hi all. I'm new to both e cigs and forums as well so bear with me. I bought a generic 901 at one of the few local stores in my area. I do enjoy being able to use it indoors and in my husbands car. I find that I'm having difficulty refilling blank cartridges. They seem to only last about one "analog" cigarette. wouldn't be a problem except when i'm driving and feel the need to constantly vape or smoke if vaping isn't working for me at that time. Is there something that i'm doing wrong? I've been back to the store and paid real close attention to how they told me to fill but can't seem to get the hang of it. would like to give up analogs for good, but no luck yet-it's been about 1 1/2 months. on my second bottle of eliquid-which seems to be going faster than the first. any suggestions?

thanks

Hello and welcome.
Do you know what the nic strenght of your juice is.....if it is too low , it will not satisfy your need and you will feel the need to constantly vape. There are some videos in the stickeys that address filling cartos, and generalized questions for those just starting out...there is a learning curve, but it is well worth it.

thanks,
I use 26mg menthol. I have to admit that i'm a pretty "heavy" puffer. Usually only takes me about 5 min. to smoke a newport 100-could be cuz i only have so much time on break at work. the woman at the store told me that she does have a higher strength, but it only comes in 30ml. size bottle for $35.00. Also afraid of overfilling and killing the atomizer. Any suggestions on where i could order a smaller bottle of 28mg so i could try it out?

Hello Dragonlover and welcome!

If you're having a problem with liquid capacity, you might want to try some cartomizers (atty and cart combined). They hold more liquid than the straight carts. Less worries about the atomizer as well, since each cartomizer has its own, built in.

BTW, if you over fill the cart, most likely it won't hurt the atomizer, just flood it. If that happens, just take if off the battery, blow out the excess into a tissue, then put it back and take a couple of puffs to burn off the extra juice and you should be fine.

You might want to order some 36mg liquid (a more standard "strength") from one of the vendors approved on this site (MyFreedomSmokes, for example). They're generally much cheaper than buying local and have all *sorts* of flavor variations.

Cartridges are a pita (pain in the a) and after not too long most people switch to using cartomizers (or dripping if they have sealed manual batteries)

Get you 5 non-spam posts or replies in new members then about an hour later you should be able to post in the DSE901 section. Find out where you could get cartomizers for it.
DSE 901/b *Mini*

And buy a spare battery if you start using cartos because you probably have auto batteries and they are most prone to being killed or damaged by juice leaks from cartos. Some KR808D-1 cartos might work without an adapter - the threading is the same but the airflow to the bottom of the carto is different. But ask in the 901 forum.

Cartos hold about 2x as much juice or more. So they don't need juice as often. Soft-cap cartos are what most people like - they are easiest to add juice to. A carto is a disposable combined cart and atomizer. If you fill one well (18+ drop per ml of capacity which for standard cartos is 1ml) and clean it up and let it lay on different sides for 15-20 mins (or much longer if your juice is thick) then it should be damp everywhere inside and safe to vape without singeing. Then just keep a carto damp and you should be able to get 4-7 days out of each or more. They cost about $2 apiece. I prefers types with no inner seal and a defined central air channel.

Thanks everyone! I was wondering cuz the woman at the store i bought my kit from told me that 3 pc units are better than 2 pc, but i noticed that she only sells 3pc units. Unbaised opinions are always best. What its a good brand of 901 to buy and which of the vendors have the best reputation. I usually don't like buying things online. I've been through the reviews on the site, but theres A LOT of info there and my head is starting to spin. Oh and the model I.
have looks and is almost the same size as an analog cept that it's purple.
Thanks again!
