Hello All,

I've been vaping for a good couple months now. I started off not knowing a thing about e-cigs and even purchased a starter kit without doing any research. Since then, I've gained more knowledge, acquired a couple more mods and accessories, and my experience has only gotten better. I even have some Vape Mail on the way that should be in next week. I almost purchased a VV Reo Woodvil, but since I have a box mod already, I decided to go with the 18490 Reo Mini for now.

My current setups from left to right:

HiVape The Bee (1st one I bought) , eGo-C Twist, and a Timber Wood Mod from Mom and Pop Vapor Shop.

The eGo-C Twist is paired with a Kanger Clearomizer and the other 2 have Mini-Sub tanks with Boge 2.0 cartos from Mom and Pop Vapor Shop. I can't wait for my Reo Mini to add to my small collection!

Hi EUREKAI, welcome to EFC, it's great news that you stopped using analogs, first of all, your setups.
Your setups are good but the most recommended e-cig for new vapers are the eGo Twist, the other two are good but, they're for advanced users like the MOD that you purchased.

Thanks for the welcoming. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to have any trouble with the Reo Mini. Looks pretty simple to me... I really enjoy tinkering with things and discovering how they work. For me that's another plus to vaping, because based on your liking and style, there are several options and combinations you can choose from.

Hey Eurekai,

Love that Ego Twist. I have been contemplating taking the plunge and buying one. Have a great day.

Do it! It's good for starting out, especially that it has the variable voltage feature. Affordable too. & since you're pretty new like myself, I feel it gives you the opportunity to explore the range of setups, like atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers, tanks, etc.

That timber wood mod is awesome! Is it variable voltage? How does it hit compared to the Ego-C Twist? That's what I have right now but I'm looking to upgrade.

Thank ya! The Timber is not variable voltage. It takes a single 3.7 V (14500) battery. So IMO I would say it wont necessarily be an upgrade for you. If you really like wood box mods and you want to stick with variable voltage, I would suggest you look into the VV Reo Woodvil. I almost got that one, but I recently got me a Reo Mini the 18490 version. They're also bottom feeders, so if you like dripping you'll enjoy the experience even more.

1st Hi everyone, I'm still trying to get the hang of things & have a couple of questions.
First my setup currently has 2 (Tornado) eGo-c 650mah batteries w/ 5 SR attys (2.3 ohm & 3 still in blister pack( & from what I understand the batteries output is a constant 3.3v through PWM? if I'm wrong can someone please tell me what it's supposed to be?), I still have 5-6 cartrages the kit came with (using the hard caps it came with), & I ordered 1 2.0 ohm (blue) SMOKTech Super shorty @ 1 1.7 ohm S.S. Super shorty.
My questions are; 1) the pre-filled carts that came w/ the kit had a ratio of 80/20 pg/vg, I ordered a sample pack of liquid that was 85/15 & didn't have the at times the smoke was very thin & very little vapor so my current juice is a mix of 70/30 so I tried lowering the resistance by getting a couple of SMOKTech shortys (also I didn't get a drip tip as I read the description wrong when it said it came w/ a mouthpiece still new I also plan on getting a mini type eGo battery soon) anyway the blue 2.0 works fine but thefts one thing peculiar that I can't figure out after the 2nd or 3rd refilling I'm seeing a lot of the filler turning a "brown" color (also happened to my other blue one, I bought 2 but broke one) that even if I couldn't see it through the plastic I can see it when I take off the mouthpiece which isn't happening to the S.S. one. I'm at a lose as to what's going on. My real concern though is w/ the s.s. one, I've been getting shocked when I go to inhale, is this because I don't have a drip tip how worried should I be (for myself, my batteries).
I've tried to use the cartrages but is very hard to pull on & I don't want to waste my liquid or break something again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
On a side note I picked up an eGo air controller & it got stuck on so tight (wouldn't even turn w/ a wrench that's how I lost the 1st blue shorty) that I'm afraid of trying to use it again. I was hoping to use it to adjust how "hard I have to pull ( I believe that it's supposed to help w/ that again if I'm wrong can someone help point me in the right direction)
Sorry this post is so long & thank you for your time

Hey Luse welcome to EFC! I'm pretty new here as well... I think you accidentally posted your new thread here! You should repost your thread in the New Members Section Forum. But to respond to your concerns, I would say if you're getting shocked there is probably some bad electrical issue with your battery and/or atomizer. I would suggest starting fresh with an eGo C-Twist battery, that way you can control your voltage when paring it with an atomizer or cartomizer. Adjusting the voltage allows you to control the wattage output and can help you figure out your preference. They say to start at low voltage and work your way up until you find out what you like. & to answer your concern with vapor production, the rule of thumb is the more PG in your e-liquid, the less vapor, but more throat hit. The more VG, more vapor, but less throat hit. This forum has a lot of useful information. Browse around and read up! I hope you work out your issues so you can really enjoy vaping! Good luck!
