I am a newbie too and intrigued! Have tried a couple setups with fixed voltage eGo batteries with below conclusions (only vape 1 juice).

1. Battery 1 firing at 3.8V works well with top coil 2.3 Ohm clearos consuming 6.2 Watts
2. Battery 1 works well with bottom coil 1.8 Ohm clearos consuming 8 Watts
3. Battery 2 firing at 4.0V works well with top coil 2.3 Ohm clearos consuming 6.8 Watts
4. Battery 2 gives a hint of burnt taste with bottom coil 1.8 Ohm clearos consuming 8.8 Watts

So essentially in addition to power (Watts), the coil position is key also. Waiting for the batteries to run their life, will then select a VW device for more experimentation :)

I found 3 charts like that one posted here, all agree for the most part. I find that what I like is either right in the middle of 'Just Right' or closer to the low end of 'Just Right'. I don't have much choice in the matter, so it's lucky that I like it that way. It seems like a bunch of posts in this thread indicate using volts and ohms that would be in the red or dark red. Very interesting...

Vaping to taste is the way to go. Everyone's different in my opinion. A 2.5 HH could do you just fine with a twist if the juice your using suits that. U just gotta find you sweet spot. Mine with a RBA wrapped how I like with a juice I like. Sorry to sound vague, but I believe vaping is up to the user to decide.

PS Cooler vapes are very cool sometimes.

I've stopped worrying about volts since I got a vamo, just play with the watts now as I find it is much more tuneable.
Normally go for 9-10 watts, unless I'm outside as the cold weather thickens up the juice And I need to drop the watts.
I also use an Aga t with a 1.4 flat kanthan coil around a stainless u wick, every variable makes a difference to the outcome.
If I use something with higher resistance I need to drop the watts a little, but then again that is also dependant on what juice.
The permutations are almost infinite so you need to work out what's good for you.

Whether I'm vaping a 2.8 ohm carto or my 2.8 ohm Vivi Nova I'm in the 3.5v to 4.2v range on voltage. That's why VV came about. 3.7v wasn't to everyone's taste. Back then people were discussing which carto and which resistance worked better. Now, It's not about resistance as much as adjusting the voltage to suit your taste.

You did well by choosing a 2.8 ohm coil for the Twist. They tend to sag a bit on voltage delivery with really low ohm coils. With the 2.8 ohm coil you can find the sweet spot with no problems.

With a 3.7v fixed voltage mod you might be better off at 2.5 or 2 ohms. Most people who vape at 3.7v tend to gravitate toward slightly lower resistance ranges. 2.5 is good. You might find 2 ohms better or worse depending on your taste and sensitivity to throat hit.

VAMO user here. I find my wattage (and I find I prefer VW over VV) will change with the juice, especially the pg/vg blend, as much as the coil type. I run both a 1.8 ohm bridgeless dripper and a handful of 2.4-2.6 ohm top coil clearos (with an AGA-T2 on the way!). Citrus flavors I like cooler, around 6w on the clearos, the dripper likes it a bit warmer actually and produces HUGE vapor when turned up to around 7w. The darker juices, usually heavier VG concentrate, I like even warmer... around 8w for the dripper and 8.5-9w on the clearos. I adore my Mt.Baker Caramel Apple 65/35 pg/vg blend at 18mg of nicotine. 8w on the dripper is simply luxurious... 7w on the clearos brings out a more "juicy" apple flavor and closer to 9w carries the Caramel flavors more.

YMMV. Vape on!

Yeah, because that chart is wrong.
I hate that chart.

This is the chart I like...

That chart could really use a legend, footnote, or something. It is very hard to tell what any kind of sweet spot might be. Of course, this is mostly subjective taste comparisons, and YMMV goes without saying on matters of volts and ohms. Knowing what will fry a coil till it pops would be a bit more useful. Different coil materials and QC make this even harder to pin down. This kind of info is pushing the limits of the New Members Forum, IMHO.

It's all so subjective. Strictly a matter of personal taste. Just be concerned about finding "your" sweet spot. Not discounting any posts here. Just use them as "guidelines " only.
Don't fall into the trap of adhering to someone else's advice and thinking that you must be doing something wrong. Find what works best for you. Because you're the only one that can make you happy.
