I first tried vaping on my friends evod clearomizer last year. I was still smoking cigs back then and thought vaping was stronger/harsher. I wasn't a fan of the warm, big vapor or big flavors. So i didn't change over to ecigs

A coworker bought his first ecig (Ego-T Type A, Standard Resistance). He let me try it out and i liked it much better than the Evod. The pull , temperature of vapor emulated closer to smoking a real cig.

My wife last month not knowing what was what, just knowing that i wanted to quit smoking real cigs and try ecigs instead, went to a vaping store and asked for the clerk to get me a cool , good vaping kit. It was a 900 mah battery and mini pro tank 3. When i got it, it looked great. Alot more modern , shinny metal look vs black matte ego-T my coworker had. I gave this kit a try for the first few weeks , with a 6mg nicotine eliquid (goldenseal Fresh Tabacco). But just like the first time i tried vaping, this warm, huge amounts of vapor was not for me. Throat and lungs were hurting even after the cig withdrawal symptons. Throat and lungs didn't bother when i was smoking half a pack a day.

Still i wanted to continue vaping instead of going back to real cigs. I remember liking my co workers ego-t ecig. Reading on the many ecigs forum, i was reading that Low Resistance Ego Type A (type B could pose leaking issues) , was the way to go. Better everything and it was an improvement to the orginal SR version (the same one my co worker had). I bought it two weeks ago and couldn't be happier. I can understand why someone who likes the big vapor and flavor would not like this Atty as much, but for someone like myself its as good as it gets to emulating smoking a real cig. The draw is real smooth and there is a buildup process to create a certain amount of vapor. No offense to anyone that likes the atty/clearomizers that produce easy, big vapors, flavors but my point is the new/modern/big vapors is not for everyone. Even though i'm new to all of this my advice for anyone is to test out different type ecigs (atty vs clearomizer, older vs newer tech, LR vs SR, Single coil vs Dual coil, different batteries) until you find the best one that works for you.

I haven't smoke real cigs for approx 1 month now. Glad this forum exists

Congratulations and welcome to the forum!

There is a wealth of information to be found here, so much that be prepared for it to take awhile to sink in. There are likely more variables between your co-worker's set-up and yours than you are aware of, but it doesn't matter :) you're off the smokes and happily vaping, that's all that counts. Details, if you are interested, can be explained later.

Cheers!

Thanks guys. Glad you guys been smoke free now for a while.

I forgot to mention that i also tried different ratios (PG/VG, higher/lower nicotine levels) with the mini pro tank. Bottom line , after countless tests and money spent (but i see it as an investment and savings for the long run), the winner for me is Ego C LR. What i'm afraid of is that they will discontinue it one of these days bc it is an older tech, but hopefully unlike how the trend goes for other tech gadgets (mobile phones for example) and the core will stick around for a long time, while leak improvements happens etc.

They are an older design, but still around. A nice thing is that if you browse online vendors you may find some of the components in the clearance sections.

JoyeTech eGo-C electronic cigarette starter kits and accessories Scroll down for type A supplies.

That's what I started with about 4 years ago. One day I was cleaning my atomizer, (there is a thread or two (or 10) on ecf about how to clean them somewhere) and I got a wild hair thinking I'm spending all this time cleaning it when I should be vaping. So I left the wick plate out of the atomizer, dripped a few drops onto the coil, stuck an empty tank in, and WOW ! ! ! So I jumped onto all the e-cig forums I could find looking to see what dripping was all about, and how to do it properly. Over the years the equipment has evolved, but the basic principles have remained the same, and dripping is still my favorite way to vape.

Well done on quitting the smokes!

Is your Type A the same as Joyetech eGo-T type A? OR is it eGo-C type A?

I got the Ego-T type A (wanted to test it out first, before buying the C and saving money and just replacing the atty heads). T and C are basically the same except on the C you can change the atty heads(buy 5 pack) every 3 to 4 weeks. With the T , you have to buy the whole thing (you can't unscrew to change the head).

The T cost about 10-12 dollars. The C body and base cost about the same. But the atty head 5 pack are 20-30 bucks. In the long run its cheaper than keep buying the T every 3 to 4 weeks.

I didn't even know what the Atty LR did was called "dripping". Cool thanks

Dripping is definitely my favorite way to vape
