Howdy! Just to introduce myself, I'ma 30 y/o (15 years smoking around a pack a day) bipolar male in southern illinois. I currently live with my parents in a property on their camperwhiel i wait for the gov't to get my disability approved. About three weeks ago, my mom bought two ecigs and accessories off my sister andbrother in law.She wants to try to quit or at least reduce smoking with them. I, of course, got the 2nd one (stepdad is too stubborn to try it). Mom hasnt taken to hers as well, she keeps making excuses for why she's nto using it; but I took to it like a pig to mud. Two days after I started using it, i binge-cleaned teh house, tossing out what tobacco and tubes i had left (rolled my own) and since then i've been doing great! I still haveteh occasional cigarette or two, its hard resisting when two people are covering you in a cloud of smoke whenever you go to the house hah. Still, I've been absolutely loving vaping; and am trying to get more juice today (Used up the last of my peppermint last night oh no!) My goal is to try to quit completely. Gonna slowly stepback the nicotine till im at 0; then ill try to kick teh physical habit side of things.
I found this forum about a week or so ago but its been a rough few weeks and I am just now getting around to joinging the community. I can't wait to share stories and encouragements! Wish I'd tried this sooner but so glad I finally did!

ps: forgive rampant typos. this keyboard hates me with a passion

Welcome to ECF

Well done on making the switch to e-cigs from analogs, you will find like I have this forum is a wealth of knowledge.

Only thing to be careful of is that when you get in to all the different types of Mods and Atty's avaliable, rebuilding, wicking material etc. it can become an obsession but at least it will keep you off the dirty old cigs !!

hehe thanks guys! Luckily i've never been much of a fan of modding things. Only obsession I forsee maybe having trouble with is flavor variety; but the juices are so much more affordable its ok! I actually just realized that i've saved my parents over 30$ already by switching to the ecig (they werepaying for my tobacco and tubes right around 15-20$ bi-weekly). And I already love beign smoke free, its just that during coffee cigarette and after meals cigarette still look so tempting, but ill get past them eventually. And my mom is beign way more supportive than when i've tried to quit smoking beforewhich is helpful. My dog and my living space already appreciate the absense of smoke, tobacco and ashes hah

Hi Justin, and welcome!

Don't be in a big hurry to reduce the nic. In vaping amounts, it's about as harmful as caffeine. And may actually have some benefits for a variety of conditions.

While you can, of course, put a question in this thread, it might get more responses if you start a new thread with a descriptive title :)

Welcome to ECF! Isn't wonderful having such a variety of flavors to choose from? I was exclusivly vaping RY-4 for the last 1.5 years or so. I started getting into some non-tobacco flavors since I know I'm not going back to smoking. At the moment I have Blue Moon Ice Cream, Skittles, Blueberry Cheesecake, Bomb Pop, Strawberry, and Watermelon flavors. I'm so loving the different creamy/fruit flavors. So I put my RY-4 on the back burner to enjoy new flavors.
