Hey all,

im a relatively new vaper (3 weeks) but have really caught the buzz and am looking to put SOME of my saved cash (saved from not buying analogs) into my new vaping hobby...

I currently have a few little bits of kit - 4 Ego batteries, 3 USB chargers, 3 Ego clearomizers, 2 BIG rebuildable atomizers (nothing special, but hold lots of juice so good for me i suppose - and dead easy to dismantle and clean so no flavour crossover) and loads of e-liquid in various flavours.

Im looking to understand dripping and other terms that are involved with vaping - perhaps theres a vapers glossary somewhere?

My end result is that i'd like to be able to create as much vapour as the guy on this vid: Review: Nimbus Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - YouTube

Please can some others help explain what I would need to do to help to start to move on from my basic EGO-T batteries and CE-4 clearo's and get into some really serious vaping?

Thanks in advance you super helpful people ;)

I'm fairly new as well (been vaping about 2 months now), and was curious about what dripping was. Essentially, from my understanding, it refers to dripping eliquid directly onto an atomizer. Drip tips can then be used so you can drip directly through the tip instead of having to unscrew everything. If you have an ego-T, you can't use the dripping method because it has a tank style system. What I did was buy a 510 atomizer (and drip tip) and a cone that goes over it so that it's aligned with my battery, because the atomizer is much smaller and looks funky by itself.

I've heard people say they mainly use the dripping technique for testing out new flavors, since you can only put 4-5 drops into the atomizer and have to keep refilling it if you are using it all day. Hope this made sense.

All made perfect sense to me... Just seems more like a convenience thing to me? Perhaps this isn't actually what I'm looking for...

research suggests to me that seeing as its the coil that produces the vapour, then maybe if I got a dual coil atomising device for my battery then maybe I'd get more vapour? (2 x coils = 2 x vapour???)

If you love dripping (and I think it's the ultimate), how'd ya like to drip a 6 ml bottle from wake-up to bedtime, one-handed all day long, even while driving? You can with a bottom-feeding REO Grand, available as mechanical or VV. You can start with a disposable atty of the appropriate resistance, or go all the way with a Reomizer 2 (RM2) RBA. Check out the Reos Mods subforum for more info. :thumb:

Dripping is where you drip a few drops of juice directly onto a coil and vape it. I have an igo L for this which vapes great. You need to make your own coils for it, but about 10 quid will buy enough wick and wire to last about a year. The igo L is fairly cheap to buy, made of stainless steel so should last, comes with a pack of spare o-rings etc so shouldn't break down, and is easy to rebuild. It has a little "well" so if you want you can drip more juice into it, like maybe half a ml.

Dual coils will produce more vapor but beware they also go through twice the amount of juice. I've tried the iclear 30 and it vapes wonderfully, but the heads aren't rebuildable so you need to buy new ones regularly. It's also a plastic tank so some juices might crack it. You can get a smaller version (iclear 16) which I believe to vape similarly.

You can get Variable Voltage (VV) batteries which allow you to "crank up" the power to the atomiser, which means you can get your vape to suit your sweet spot.

What I'd advise as your next step depends a bit on whether you're good with your hands and fancy rebuilding your own heads (much cheaper) or whether you're more of a "buy it and vape it" kinda guy/gal.

If you're into rebuilding then get a Vamo kit from fasttech.com for about £30 and a 2 week wait from China. Make sure you get the one with the Nitecore charger and the two 18650 batteries. These are cheap made VV battery holders (and Variable Wattage [VW] too), and have a built in setting to test the resistance of your newly built heads. Beware it's quite a big mutha tho, so it's not great for out n about. Also consider Vision Spinner or eGo Twist batteries. These are similar to your existing eGo's (but longer) and use the same chargers but are VV so you can crank up your vape as above. They're pocket friendly tho. The Rolls Royce of VV batteries is the Provari. They're well made but they're around £200.

For rebuilding heads get an igo L for dripping (as above), which will give you a good learning curve for your rebuilds. For vaping at home consider an Aga T2. These are fairly cheap to buy, made of SS, come with spares, have a glass tank so no cracking worries, and can be used with silica or mesh coils so they can progress along with your skills/desires of rebuilds. I use mine with silica and it vapes a treat. They're not much more difficult to build than the igo L. They'll leak if you leave them on their side tho, so not good for out n about.

For out n about consider good old Kanger evods. They're rebuildable too (or just buy new heads if you want). We have the genuine Kanger ones and haven't had any leaks yet. They perform well and are reliable and faff-free.

Hope this helps without bogging you down too much :)

Ps there's lots of UK forums with great info too, try UK Vapers or Planet of the Vapes for example.
