Evening all,

I am brand new to this forum and would like to say thanks for all the great information that can be found on ECF. I quit analogs on Sept 16th. When I first started I purchase a Provari and a couple of Nataluist Minis. Unfortunately, last week I left my Provari an taxi while on a business trip. As I didn't want to spend that much money on a replacement, I picked up a Sigelei 20W telescoping mod. It works okay, but I do have a problem that I am hoping you folks that have the experience can help me with.

Problem: when vaping the Sigelei seems to run through batteries at a crazy rate. I am using the same batteries I used on my Provari, but not getting near the batter life. Also, when the batter indicator gets to just less that half, I get the low power message and it stops vaping. Based on the indicator I should have almost half my battery life left.

Is this just a quirk of the Sigelei, or is there something wrong with it?

Thanks for your help.

Good answer above. I'll just add that the more power you are demanding from your battery, the more it will 'sag'

This means as your APV demands the power from the battery, it momentarily drops below the voltage cutoff for a low battery indicator. Only way to prevent this is use better batteries or reduce the power on the mod.

What batteries are you using?

Sounds like the batteries ouput is not enough for the 20w. This is exactly why it cuts off while reading half battery... It senses the amp load is not sustainable by the battery at the power you selected. The sigelie uses a smarter chip than the provari.

Using stacked 18350 imr batteries will be a night and day difference in power and battery longevity. 2-3 times battery life over a brand new 18650. It's the only way to go in these. I have a blog on stacking in the Sigelie's.

Thanks Jeremy. I think I will pick up some 18350s today.

Oh wait! ... your using good sony that are not old?! Vct's? I was thinking some crappy batteries or protected..

The 20w is a telescopic! Sorry this is most likely the issue then.

I have a sigelie zmax v3 telescopic. It is absolutely nessasary to use noalox on the telescope threads or it will lose the connection and shut down.. We have talked about this till the cows came home in the sigelie v3 /v5 thread.

First recommendation get some noalox from a hardware or big box store like lowes.

This is absolutely 100% essential to the performance of the mod. Use it at all connection and contact points on the mod.

Here's a link to all noalox posts in the v3 thread -

Thank you for the follow up message. I will pick up some noalox tomorrow.
