Hello!

Stopping by to say hello and look forward to hearing/learning from others. At one point I said I would quit smoking when I turned 30. Well I just turned 40 and finally did it! vaping allowed me to maintain some of the less harmful "habits" that are associated with smoking and I could not imagine smoking at this point.

I started with an all in one, then went to a regulated mod within a week. Now I have a regulated mod and two all in ones (hubby uses one). 6 tanks to switch around depending on my juice/cloud mood.

I welcome all advice and feedback - I do my best to research on my own when I have questions, but like to learn from others as well.

Welcome to the forum.
Know exactly what you mean. Love that first vape with the coffee. Even better than smoking because you can vary flavors.
Impressed you are up to 6 tanks already. Took me six months to get there.
It all becomes a hobby rather than a habit.
I am just another newbie but have moved to the DIY juice now. Coil building is another art but I am lazy so far and still buy them.

I started with a Prince Stick then gave that to hubby and got a regulated mod - wanted a smaller tank for back up. Then a little over a week without a cigarette and almost caved one night, wanted a cigarette so bad! Hubby was out of town and the tank was stuck on the mod with a burned out coil! I was SO frustrated and battling with craving a smoke! Next day I went and bought another tank and another all in one since he had my stick, never again will I be without back up lol. Then found a juice I like so much I have a tank exclusively for it. So it just kind of happened to have several. I don't see myself building coils anytime soon but thinking about DIY juice. I do like mixing and have one we dubbed Lindsay Juice.

Hi, welcome to ECF, and congrats on quitting smoking. LOL, I told myself as a 3 month smoker at age 18 I would quit when I "returned home" (I was in England, man everyone smoked back then, it seemed like.) Unsurprisingly enough, it took me more than two decades later to really quit, (age 43, LOL). Vaping was a lifesaver for me!

Congrats to you and your hubby and welcome to ECF, I think you will like it here :) congrats!

Welcome and glad you joined.
What just kills me, is we have our elected officials trying to eliminate vaping. None of them have a clue on what it's all about. Those lawmakers have no desire to learn about lives saved by vaping. I like the enclosed chart, it kind of says it all:

Thank you for sharing that chart/link! Great information. Yes I'm new to vaping and not sure at what point I can call myself a non-smoker but I don't agree that we are stuck in the designated smoking area when vaping. I don't enjoy the smell and at first I was tempted to bum one.

    Welcome aboard :)

Well done on getting thru the first 3 weeks - for me it was the hardest and you are now over the hump ;)

Finding a flavour you enjoy is key, and so is finding equipment you enjoy using and is easy to use.

When I quit I never ever thought I'd stop missing that first ciggy in the morning - but after a month I found I wanted my vape instead - it was an awesome feeling :)

    Congrats.
Even though I know any one of the tanks and mods I have are sufficient I keep buying more.

Totally get it! I like having options of different wattage depending on which juice I'm in the mood for. Same with juices - i have plenty but keep buying more. My excuse is that I'm still exploring lol. However I have given some away to friends and co-workers that are wanting to quit smoking but don't have the $ to get started with vaping.

Yes! I have given some to friends for them to try as well. Success with some and others not so much.
I used to spend $70 a week on tobacco so a mod or tank here and there isnt a big thing in the scheme of things. Im still trying to find that "one" tank that just nails the feel Im looking for even though a couple I have are perfectly fine.
I mix my own juice but still buy the occasional premade for something different.
